I drove to Queens yesterday. How many of your other followers can say that!?!
I was returning my son and some film equipment after last weekend's mini-shoot at our house. (My husband and I stayed at Holiday Inn for three nights -- free with points -- not quite the same as Alaska.)
We ate at Sparrow in Astoria, of
Diners, Drive-Ins and Dives "fame". I sat facing the window and saw a car go by with the license plate
CHICO. I thought to myself, there's Chiara, of
CHIara's
COture. Okay, that was probably a long shot.
When my other son went down last week to pick him up they saw a
Disney cruise ship docked. I craned my neck (because of dropping off the equipment, we didn't go too far south), but no cruise ship for my eyes.
With our stop to drop off equipment we made it to his apartment in 4 hours. On the way home it took me just over five. An accident on the Major Deegan slowed traffic. The first hour I made it to Yankee Stadium -- 5.8 miles. By the end of the second hour I had gone only 31 miles! I don't mind it a couple times a year, but I don't know how people make the commute every day.

<------- Gotta stop, the referee just called me for threadjacking.
I received happy Disney mail yesterday. WE received our cruise documents. Only a month to go. I have a huge list for this
1. Dress for C
2. Cruise Shirts
3. Fish Extender Gifts (I need to decide what to make)
I finished the Star Wars set and it is one of my favorites I have ever done.
I am finishing a Nerds set and I have 2 brave sets to get done.
I also have been looking at sewing machines. My PE-770 isn't working right and I am going to make my Duetta my primary embroidery machine so I was looking at vintage machines on craigs list but they are all so overpriced.
I found a Janome I am considering and I did take my vintage singer to my brother to make a box for it.
The Star Wars outfit looks great. There's a whole bunch of time invested in that outfit!
I haven't had much luck with craigs list either. Seems like everyone and their brother has a vintage Singer to sell. I'm looking for something newer -- as a backup.
Thanks everyone.
I finished a nerds set yesterday and am cutting a couple of other things. I wish I had a few more hourse each day LOL.
Here is the nerds set
Another amazing outfit.
So it has been a rough week in my life, I have been horribly ill with a Kidney infection but am finally feeling like myself.
Today we turned on our central air and it was leaking all over and not working and we had to get a repairman out here today. Thank goodness for my dad because he took care of it for me. I think I scared him with how sick I was. I went to his house with the kids for Fathers day and slept for 3 hours while the kids played. I went to the doctor on Monday I had a dangerously high fever and I was given antibiotics and I have to stay on that at tylenol for 10 days since my WBC is still a bit high but over 50% lower from Monday.
I worked hard to finish this Brave Set that was on my deadline for last week but it is done and on its way to its new home. I love how it came out.
I am so behind but am still not a 100% so I am going to start back up slowly with orders and projects tomorrow.
So sorry you haven't been feeling well. Your life is too busy to take time out for sickness.
The Brave outfit is amazing. It lends itself to such different colors than other disney outfits and I see you took advantage of that. I'm looking forward to seeing the movie.
