I'm mild livid about my kids school. My ds's most excellent teacher quit and they hired a new teacher. All I found out is that she is last taught in the Bronx with bars on the windows and that she is NOT Montessori certified. She will likely be in heaven teaching here, but it will also likely be a stark contrast to what she is used to. I am pretty peeved that she is not Montessori certified -- that's what I pay good money for! And I went through last year with dd's teacher "working on her certification" and she was the least favorite teacher EVER that any of my kids had.

Sheesh, I'd be rather annoyed by that as well, Andrea. I completely agree that if you are paying a MONTESSORI school for a MONTESSORI education for your children, then you should expect Montessori trained/certified teachers! But that aside, I hope you will be pleasantly surprised and the new teacher turns out to be good.

Here is a sisters set I did with Wendy and Rapunzel

and yesterday I finished a tink set. I actually love the greenish tank with the skirt, I was unsure of it but it has grown on me

Today I have a nerd set. an ariel set and a tink set on tap. Thankfully the nerd set is using felt so I can have Mickey going while working on some skirts

I also bought the purple felt I needed for one of my launch outfits.

I am so happy to be getting caught up.

Goodness you are busy! Lot the Wendy/Rapunzel sister set. And the tink set is cute too. FX you are able to get all your other orders completed. can't wait to see what you've been brainstorming for the next launch. Do you mind telling me when it is?

Your ADRs for December sound yummy. Did you get to go to Tutto Italia on your last visit or was it still closed? I know you mentioned it on your TR but I forgot: are you staying at AKL for this trip?

We haven't been to Tutto Italia since last Christmas we will be visiting there on our August trip as well as Christmas it is one of our favorites and I want to see the refurb.

Glad to hear the school situation is settled, for now at least. Chances are you just need to try it and see if it works. If your son gets an awesome teacher it will probably be wonderful. If the teachers aren't so hot then chances are you'll be moving him. There's no telling at this point.

I am glad you are fully recovered form your kidney infection Also happy to see you have your ADRs squared away. So glad you added Tusker.

I am happy about Tusker house too we loved it in April. I would be upset with the non Montessori Certification especially if I was paying. Though if she was actually a certified teacher in NYC I would like to know more about her experience.

These are all really pretty -- I think the Wendy is my favorite b/c I love the color of the shirt.

As for the teacher -- all I know is what the current teacher had told me. I have friends though who are going to try to find out more info! I don't even know what grade this teacher taught in the Bronx or how experienced she is. I think she will like it here better though!

As much as I want to I think it is going to be too much especially since I found out my parents are going on vacation that week and since they had to cancel their vacation last year due to my mom being so sick I don't want them to feel they have to cancel for me.

I know I will be getting to Charlotte again one day so I will definately make arrangements to meet up with Judy.

Also if anyone comes to NYC let me know and I will try my hardest to meet up.

I have been working on T-shirt orders yesterday and today. I finished 2 and am working on a 3rd right now.

I also started a nerd skirt order I have the skirt about 60 % done I need to applique a nerd to the skirt and the shirt too and am going to try and finish that order today too.

I stayed up until 1am finishing a couple orders last night.

I am trying to finish all orders by Friday so I can work on my list. I have some things to make for our cruise in 16 days

The girl who decided she wanted nothing now wants things and I cant say no.

so I will be making

1. A simply Sweet for C
2. Pirate outfit for J
3. Pirate shirt for C
4. Cruise outfit for J
5. Cruise outfit for C

oh and I found the cutest pirate eyepatch in the hoop projects I would love to try..

My oldest son had a terrible 2nd grade experience and we still don't know who his 3rd grade teacher will be. 3 of the 4 incoming 3rd grade classes have already received their teacher assignments but we have to wait until August.

It annoys me when schools do that. I have had that happen to my daughter twice. Including for next year. She won't know her homeroom until she goes in the first day.

Happy Saturday. I have been up since 5:40am, I figured I would be productive so I finished an order and embroidered a pirate mickey for the pocket of Js pirate outfit. I want to finish that this weekend.
