Well DH insisted on doing Piglet this year so I humored him.

I also did the shirt for Friday. I will take pictures in the morning.

I have to take my 770 in for service because I kept getting a birds nest and I replaced the needle, cleaned the bobbin case. I just can't figure out what is wrong. the machine also has over 2million stitches so maybe it is feeling neglected. It also means my Duetta is going to be pulling double duty if it is something serious.

I am working on my Suess outfit for Friday. I wanted to make a simple circle skirt for two reasons : one - I never have made one before and two - it seemed really easy. But alas, I was about 1/4 yard short so dd gets another twirl skirt. Just have to finish the waist band and elastic and then do the shirt -- an applique from an etsy designer I have never tried before so I am hopeful it stitches out OK.

so excited I started the Nerds set this morning.

I have been busy working on non disney stuff this week. I had an order for Spongebob Shirts plus 2 shirts for J a Piglet Shirt and a Dr. Suess hat shirt.

Yep another skirt and tank. Since she is not a ruffle girl this works nice.

I have finished Daisy, Donald and am working on Chip. My hope is to have all the appliques dor this done on Saturday so I can assemble Saturday night or Sunday night.

So I think I have a UTI yesterday I was in such excruciating pain. today not too bad but I am debating going to the Walk In Clinic this morning before work. I just don't want it to fester over the weekend. Also this is how all my mom's health troubles started last year.

I will try to post some pictures of Piglet and Suess today.

I wasn't going to go since I am feeling about 20 times better than yesterday, but decided what the heck let me go make sure I am okay. Well I have a UTI and I am now on antibiotics for 5 days. I am feeling pretty good right now.

Okay here are 2 of the shirts I did this week for J sorry if you already saw them on Facebook.

Every day in March, Js school does March Madness. Yesterday was Nationall Pig Day so everyone was supposed to wear pink. Well I went one step further and J wore a Piglet on his shirt.

There is a trend right now of appliquing on felt and then attaching it to the shirt. I am not a huge fan of piglet on felt and I think it has to do with the shape.

Today for Dr. Suess' birthday, it is crazy hat day. Well my sensory sensitive kid is not wearing a hat on his head. So I made him a Cat in the Hat Hat shirt. Now I absolutely love this one on felt.

The shirts are adorable! My DS has come home every day with facts about Dr. Suess (which is getting him more excited for our IoA visit), so I'm totally digging the Cat in the Hat shirt!

I love the shirts. I honestly have never heard of embroidering on the felt and attaching it to the shirt. Does it wash OK? Does it add a lot of extra bulk to the shirt? I agree -- it looks really good on the hat!

this was cheapy craft felt from Michaels. I will let you know once I wash it. I wasn't really concerned about the wash factor on these shirts because I used only ones in my stash that J is going to outgrow quickly.

I have heard on FB that if you use the felt that is on a bolt at Joanns it washes beautifully. I just wanted to try it and I figure it is easier to hoop felt than a shirt and I was in a rush.

Off to work on my nerds I have almost 4 done so it means 5 more to go.

I am glad that you went to the dr and they gave you something and you are feeling better! Antibiotics are the greatest invention ever!!!!

I love both shirts but especially the Cat in the Hat's hat. It was smart to make a hat shirt for him to wear since he won't actually wear a hat. My nephew also won't wear anything on his head.

So what is the reason for appliqueing on the felt? Doesn't it make the shirt thick where you have the applique? Does it wash ok? Does the hold up in the wash? It looks nice on the hat shirt. It kind of gives the applique a nice outline/definition.

I finished all the nerd appliques late last night. Going to start sewing it all together later today. I am also going to do a Duffy on felt for J. I am reusing a pair of cruise shorts and Duffy will go great with them

I need to run out and get a zipper for a project.

Been super busy lately so trying to catch up. Finally ordered my PE770 and my 1034D tonight should be on island in a couple of weeks then I can attach DD 23 Customs for August.....
