so I killed my laptop the other night.

I dropped it on the floor just the right way.

thankfully the only thing on it was my embroidery designs and I had them backed up thru June 1, 2012. so I am able to re-create almost everything.

right now I am going thru the instant download sites to see what I need to download from them.

A new laptop has been ordered so hopefully I will have it soon so I can finish some work I have.

So I didn't get most of my list done this weekend because I spent all day Sunday in NJ, C had a dance work shop with her performance team. So I went to Walmart with my Mom and then a big mall.

This is what I did get accomplished over the weekend.

Two more appliques and this skirt is done.

Here is the fabric I scored at walmart. These are the creative cuts I had never seen them before.

Oh and this is what I chose for the new addition to our skirt collection for DD. It is going to be a Disney Nerds set

I just need to decide on what fabric I am appliquing the nerds onto.

Today I am going to work on the Toy Story Shirt and I am printing the transfers for the wish shirt since I now have a design. Oh and I will be back in a bit to tell you some more about our April Trip that is now for 8 people.

I love the expressions on Mickey's face. It's actually been a while since I've embroidered. I switched to quilting for a few months with the church group. I've been purposely staying away from Joann. I finally convinced myself that I do not have to use every 40% off coupon. A month or so ago it dawned on me how much money I had been spending on fabric and supplies and I decided I needed to cut back.

Can't wait to see the skirt with the Mickey heads.

So our April trip has expanded to include Me, G, Miss C and the boy, My Sister, Franni, Her DH Eddie, My Mom and Dad. They came with us on DHs 40th Birthday Trip in November of 2009. I invited my parents on this trip because I didn't want to leave them at the mercy of my brother for Easter. Also my dad and brother are not getting along the best.

So here is a picture of the whole group of us from November 2009

Here is also a picture of my Mom and Dad from their December 2010 trip to Peru and the Galapagos Islands

Great photos. I'm starting to wonder if there's any chance of a family trip to Aulani for my 60th in two years (and 11 days ). We've never been with more than just the four of us. At most if would be six, me, DH, DS + GF, and other DS -- no GF at this time.

How did you parents like Peru? When I was in high school my best friend was an exchange student to Peru. She died in a plane crash there a couple days before they were due to come home, and a trip to Peru has always been in the back of my head. Our AAA has a trip there in April and I thought about contacting her sister (whom I haven't seen for years) to see if she's been or has ever wanted to go. I snore big time (or so I've been told) so I actually hate to foist myself off an onyone as a roommate. Peru's not on my bucket list, but on my list of "when that unexpected check comes".

Like the fabric you bought...Jealous that you found fabric at a Walmart...all the ones in our area stopped selling fabric. The one closest to me that did sell fabric and was just over the border into RI closed/moved to Lincoln, RI which is a drive (no easy way of getting there). While in Joann's on Saturday a woman also looking at patterns was telling us that she heard about a new fabric shop going to open up in the town of Hingham in a few weeks...

Your family pic is awesome - it's so neat that you all can go together. I know it's hard traveling with family sometimes, but I think it would be fun to go to Disney with family.
