Disney’s Lakeshore Lodge Coming to former Reflections Site in 2027!

More Paneling Added at Disney Lakeshore Lodge

Paneling and more support frames are popping up left and right as Lakeshore Lodge continues to take shape at Walt Disney World.
Resort Entrance

The main entrance of the resort has more paneling added to the top of it.

More frames for awnings have been added to the main building, above the guest rooms.

A-Frame Cabins
More details have been added to the A-frame cabins. There are now panels on each side of the roof for only one of the cabins. This shows that they are moving closer to completing the outside of this cabin.

More Overhangs, Sheathing, and Roofing Installed at Future Disney Lakeshore Lodge

As we reported earlier this week, thanks to aerial photos, the lobby now has roofing. We can see the framework of a front entrance now, too.

Crew members were working on the roof, maybe securing the corrugated paneling. There’s obviously a lot more work to do before the resort can start welcoming guests.

A-Frame Cabins

A-frame cabins are in rows on either side of the main resort. Crews have been adding more supports and wood details to the cabins over the past few weeks. This cabin, partially hidden by trees, now has vertical supports below one of its side overhangs.

Another cabin nearby has metal roofing and wood fascia on the edge. There are three open slots on one side of the roof, maybe for decorative elements to be installed later.

On the other side of the resort, we got a better look at some of that wood detailing. The overhangs and some of the diagonal beams are covered in faux wood paneling.

This is the case for multiple cabins. They each have a large overhang on one side and a smaller overhang on the other side.

A cabin at the very end of the row is still a basic frame — a stark contrast to the other cabins that are much further along.

Resort

As for the main building of the resort, crew members continue to install sheathing and paneling. The white weather-proof sheathing visible in the above photo was freshly installed.

Another nearby wall has gray paneling. More steel has been installed on top of the roof, creating a decorative domed structure. One of the roof overhangs also has additional steel framing on top.

It’s the same story across the walls and rooftops. The yellow and black panels are not the final exterior of the resort but an extra layer of protection on top of the sheathing. Most of the window and door openings have glass now but there are some empty openings on the top floor. Through these, we can see that interior walls have not been enclosed yet.

The supports in the water are for a future dock, also clearly visible in bioreconstruct’s aerial photos. Though the supports have been installed, it seems further dock construction has paused while crew members work on the rest of the resort.

Bioreconstruct’s photos also confirmed the resort will also have at least two pools and a lazy river. These aren’t easy to see from the ground.

This steel structure near the water may be a restaurant.

At the end of this wing, some of the overhangs have been treated to now be white. Most of the walls have also received another gray-ish layer. The top floor has new sheathing and additional overhang frames.

In our last update, we noted that these walls on the other side of the building had been covered in concrete. The concrete has now fully dried. The tower has more horizontal framework creating walls.

This concrete wall has a pattern of vertical lines with small horizontal lines. This pattern may be expanded or highlighted with paint as work continues.

Disney Lakeshore Lodge Priming Begins at Walt Disney World Resort

A coat of what is likely primer has been added to a large section of the future Disney Lakeshore Lodge. Other sections of the resort have new steel framing, windows, doors, and sheathing.

Entrance

As we reported last week, thanks to aerial photos, the lobby now has roofing. We can also see the framework of a front entrance now. Blue safety netting has been added against the posts jutting from the roof. This is likely to protect crew members as they continue work on the roofing.

A-Frame Cabins

A-frame cabins are in rows on either side of the main resort. Crews have been adding more supports and wood details to the cabins over the past few weeks.

Cabins on the other side of the resort have begun to receive metal roofing and wood fascia on the edges.

Most of the cabins nearest Clementine Beach now all have wooden details and the beginnings of overhangs.

Resort Buildings

As for the main building of the resort, crew members continue to install sheathing and paneling, although it looks as though prep is underway for future concrete work.

More steel has been installed on several of the roof structures and overhangs, with most of the windows and door openings now having glass. The supports in the water are for a future dock, also clearly visible in bioreconstruct’s aerial photos.

Not much has changed at this end with continued work on sheathing and additional overhang frames.

Possibly the biggest change in this update is the priming of exterior walls on the side facing Daniel Boone’s Wilderness Arcade at Fort Wilderness Resort. This section of the resort has been the furthest along in each update.

Only one section has received primer. Further down, concrete is still the most recent layer. The concrete wall jutting out has a pattern of vertical lines with small horizontal lines. This pattern may be expanded or highlighted with paint as work continues.

Disney Lakeshore Lodge Shows Progress On Entrance and Exterior of A Frame Cabins

Progress has been made at Disney Lakeshore Lodge since our last update. Sections of the resort have new steel framing, windows, doors, and sheathing. The entrance is getting more shape while the A-frame cabins are coming together.

Our reported noted the pool area has flattened somewhat, although it might take a bioreconstruct update to confirm what has been happening in that area.

Disney Lakeshore Lodge is being built next to Fort Wilderness Resort, along Bay Lake on the former site of the defunct water park River Country. Like the original Reflections concept announced in 2018, Disney Lakeshore Lodge is a Disney Vacation Club resort and will be “inspired by the majesty of nature and its enduring influence on Disney artists.”

The new resort is set to open sometime in 2027.
