Why does Mears have horrible reviews on Google/Yelp? ...should I be worried?

Planning on using Mears (for the first time) to get to Universal...
Seemed to be a lot of praise on here, but surprised by the reviews on Google/Yelp ... :confused3

I would focus on what people are complaining about specifically and seeing what the biggest complaint(s) is. Then decide if that's something that matters to you or not. It's a bus. Some people that are not used to taking public transportation tend to find a lot to complain about - whether it's Disney, Mears or anyone.

Thanks for replying, truly appreciate it.

The reviews make it seem like Mears is just an overpriced public bus and that people should just take the Lynx bus (not sure if that's the correct name) for $2

I was thinking the trip would take around 50 minutes or 60 minutes max, but now I'm thinking it might take 90 minutes or even 120 minutes.

avoid using the lynx.
it is time consuming.........

use mears, well worth it for the time involved.

Using the Lynx bus to US/IoA would be a huge mistake. I believe there are transfers to be made, which are time consuming. I have taken the Mears shuttle bus to US/IoA many times...it is very good. Nice bus, direct ride (with a few stops at other resorts along the way).

I have never used any of them. Wish I could help tthere. But I was talking to a friend abobut that sort of thing and they mentioned on the Disney property- not sure where- there is a car rental. Maybe rent a car for the day??? Not sure how much an economy car would be. Heard it was cheaper there then the airport. Goodluck

You should be worried about the accuracy of Google/Yelp. Lynx doesn't go go Universal. Your trip will end with a walk of almost a mile.

I've used Mears to get from WDW to Universal several times this year and have never had a problem. In fact, I highly recommend them. I'll be using them again in May, in Sept and again in Dec. They've always had us there before park opening and then we just call them about two hours prior to when we want to leave Universal to get back to WDW.
