I'm sure there is a reason, but why does the Journey into Imagination/Figment attraction close at 7 if the rest of the park and attractions close at 9? Was going to pick it for a FP for on our way out of the park, but windows ending at 7 are the latest and its hours say it closes at 7. And, yes I know I probably don't need the FP, but we don't have another 3rd we need/want and want to use all 3 up before heading to MK for late night.

My best guess would be Staffing/Payroll/Attendance

The ride, in the 3 times I've gone on it, have literally been walk on or 5 minute waits. At 7pm I would bet most of the guests are out in world showcase or waiting in line for a headliner, so it really doesn't make sense to waste the cents from payroll to have a cast member operate the ride.

For the same reason inventions buildings close at 7 too.

Put the staff where the people are:)

Makes perfect sense. I figured there was a logical reason...Guess we will hope to "walk on" earlier in the week after rope dropping TT and Soarin'!

Not all of the attractions are open until 9 in FW.

Last time I was there only the major attracts stayed open or is it not closed early. :confused3 Its for the same reason much of WS doesn't open before 11.

Traditionally in the morning most people enter from the main gates and stay in FW for a couple of hours and then start heading to the WS for lunch. At night most have migrated to the WS for Illuminations.

It used to be that FW "closed" at 7 but some attractions stayed open. That was too confusing so now it stays open until 9 with some attractions closing early.

I said traditionally because its seams like more and more stuff is opening early in the WS.

if you dont have a need/want for a 3rd one you could just pick anytime and let it expire? that way you can use your mb to pick up fp over at magic kingdom

im sure others will say why take away from people who want/need fastpasses

but the way the system works you need to fufill the 3 in a park to get access to the others - and well this is the only way i know to get to the requirements...

It is pretty common for FW to close at 7 pm for most of the attractions. The exceptions might be Soarin and TT but that is just to clean the line up. I've had it happen many times. However, Illuminations is at 9 pm and ends around 10.

Remember that FW opens up at least a couple of hours before WS. Usually after 7 people start to migrate to WS to get a spot to watch Illuminations, so it is pretty quiet after that. I rode Mission: Space once and as soon as it was over I headed over to Imagination. I got there a 7:02 and they told me they closed at 7. I begged them saying, gee, I just had to walk all the way back from Mars after our ship crashed, couldn't you make an exception. They laughed and then said... Awesome request, but, the answer is still no. :rotfl:

1. The attractions of FW have a set schedule.

2. Soarin', Test Track, Mission:SPACE, Spaceship Earth, Seas with Nemo...
all stay open until 9PM nightly. (And, later, if guests are still in the ride queue at 9PM.)

3. IllumiNations begins at 9PM and runs until 9:16PM.

4. Yup. WS opens at 11AM daily.

You won't need a FP for it anywhere close to 7. It's audience is families. Families have moved on from the rides to have dinner in the WS, and then they'll tour however many countries they want and head out. Anyone still doing rides by this point are the older kids wanting to do TT or Soarin.

Living with the Land,The Circle of Life and JIIWF DO "usually" stay open until 9:00 PM on PM EMH nights for "regular" Guests since they are "usually" PM EMH attractions.:)

They don't "shut" them down at 7:00 PM and "reopen" them at 9:00 PM for PM EMH.:)
