stress over making dinning reervations and callin right at 7am.

My family never stresses and we never call at 7 am, we try to call withen a week of the firt day possible and we never have troubles. We're usually off the phone in 20 min or less. We usually do a dinner at Ohana's, Chef Mickey', and the Crytal Palace so we are going to some very popular places.

There's really no need to stress and be up at 7 am to make the reservations, is there??????????????

You've been lucky! I tried to get ressies for Ohana, California Grill, and Brown Derby and didn't get them. I guess it depends on when you are willing to go for a sit down dinner. For example, you don't generally want a dinner ressie at 8:55pm if you are traveling with very little kids. Similarly you might not want a 7am breakfast ressie because your family isn't into getting up at the crack of dawn during vacation.

You need to rub some of that good luck on the rest of us poor mortal souls! :rotfl: :rotfl2:

I too did not have a problem making my ADRs long after 90 days. For that matter, I didn't have the trip booked at 90 days. I got 100% of my choices with only Le Cellier 40 minutes earlier then I would have liked. All others were with in 10 minutes of my requested time. I then changed 3 of the ADRs 3 weeks ago and still was able to get what I wanted when I wanted.

As you can see from my itinerary, I have some popular restaurants.

I never had a problem making dining ressies until our May trip last year. Our biggest problem was getting good dining times, not the restaurants themselves...but by moving a few things around, I managed to get pretty much what we wanted.

When I call for ADR's, I always have a backup plan as well. If my 1st choice is not available, then I have at least 1 more that we are willing to substitute. We may not get everything we want when we want it, but I think that is just the way life is. I always have 1 or 2 restaurants that we really want to eat at, so we are willing to be flexible with our time and/or day in order to eat there. I refuse to stress about it.

I agree with PP, you're lucky. We go during FD and I am the kind of control freak who needs to have the time I want give or take 20 minutes at the most.

I plan for things and need the ADRs to be close, the sooner I call, the more likely I will get what I want.

Plus, I really enjoy getting it over with, it's nice and makes me happy.

And, it's not 7AM for me...... it's 4AM :scared1:
My bed time is usully 2-3AM so it's not too bad staying up a little longer, I'm just glad my 90 day mark isn't on a weekend like last year.

That's what I do too. I have the restaurant, ideal time, why I want that time, how far I am willing to stray from that time and my backup with what time I would like that.

Calling first thing, I have never had to use my back up :thumbsup2

You may have received what you wanted Dave (congrats) but your dinners are on the earlier side so I am not surprised you did get what you wanted. Try doing that for 6:45-8 and it may be different.

:lmao: :lmao: Sunday 3/29 Fireworks: Hope Not.

I hope not as well.

lol, made me laugh too. I hope you see no fireworks also!!!

And I have never had good luck with ADR's. I guess on April 26th we'll see if my luck changes:cheer2:

We always go during presidents day week and like i dais we eat anywhere from 5-7. I dont think Dave had really early times.

I don't call first thing in the morning, but I do get really excited about making the reservations. I find it to be so much fun. I call in the afternoon usually. I am not really picky about what I get. I love reading people's reservations. It is a sickness really. :upsidedow
