Why does BWV often seem to be the cheapest?

It's a very specific request with low probability of success, but you should see if you can snag room 2123, 3123, or 4123. They are extra-large 1BR SV corner rooms with large, wrap-around patios overlooking the bus stop. We requested these in advance and actually got one of them on 2 different occasions, but clearly YMMV.

True. I’ve requested these rooms everytime I’ve booked standard 1 bedroom for 10+ years now and still have never gotten this request. Ugh! I get my request at Bwv about 10% of the time. I just stick with high floor.

I've also tried for those a couple of times. Gotten close but no cigar. I like that end in general though so was happy even getting close.

I'm another happy BWV owner, we're not bothered about the view so book standard rooms which is really good value for your points. We request high floor and opposite bus stop, which we're usually not that far from. There is an exit opposite the bus stop which saves lots of time if you don't mind the stairs.

BWV is awful. Incredibly long walks down the hallway, no good views, rooms are ugly, service is terrible, parking situation is ungodly. Avoid at all costs.

(As a BWV owner, I hope my post keeps people away so I can easily get what I want every year during Food & Wine time.)

We got 3123 once with just our more general request for a dedicated 1B across from the bus stop. While the living area was larger than the other 1 bedrooms, I wasn't as impressed with it as some others appear to be. The room was dark, especially in the kitchen area. Since it was fairly cold during that trip, we didn't use the balcony much at all. Maybe now that DHS has the Star Wars fireworks, I'd appreciate it more. FWIW, I prefer the dedicated 1 bedrooms x117, x119, & x121 (even if view of the EPCOT fireworks are blocked by the beautiful trees).

And don't forget IT vomiting children, the length of time to get a fresh baked pastry in the morning, the nighttime noise when you leave BW view balcony doors open....it's a horror!! I don't know why we still stay there about a month every single year (oh yeah.....it's the beautiful views, uncrowded pools, wonderful CMs, nightly entertainment, elegant but not pretentious décor, dining options, two parks to walk to, community hall, games on the lawn, & a wondrous feel that no other resort can match :goodvibes)

Me too! Exact room, exact request. On my next trip, I specifically requested one of them and ended up by Jellyrolls. At that time, the end across from the Swan was standard view. Since boardwalk view became a separate category, I always book it, can't resist that view. Haven't done standard in over 10 years.

We really like the 1 bedrooms & the std view 1 Bdrms are a lot easier to get than the studios for the times we like to go. But if we were to do a studio, it would be Boardwalk view. I like that view a lot, too. :)

Just left the 3135 and it was a very long walk. If walking is a problem, I do rent a scooter!

We had this room in October and my husband kept commenting that he felt like he was walking to the Florida Keys instead of to our room but I don’t mind the long hallways.

We love BWV. We know how hard it is to get a standard 1 bedroom, so I just spend the extra points for the BW view (if I have to). I always ask for 4001 or 3001...wayyyyy down by Jelly Rolls. The view is great and we don't mind the walk. Get to people watch the Boardwalk with a glass of wine. My point is, however, that many people just hate that long walk to 4001/3001 and 9 out of 10 times, we get our request fulfilled. I do not do 5001 because it doesn't have a canopy over the patio. On the 3rd or 4th floor, we never hear the noise from the Boardwalk at night. My favorite place.
