Why do you like DU for cruise reservations?

These boards (and, of course, the people on them) have been so helpful to me, and I try to support its sponsors when possible. I have read some good things about DU, but I really like being able to pick up the phone and speak to my agent directly. Has anyone else made this conversion to an e-mail agent and how did it go? Any other DU benefits??

They do have a phone number that you can call with questions after you make your reservations as I have called several times with questions. I'm not sure if you can call them before you book or not. They are very helpful and they get right back to you by e-mail also, I've never had any problem with that.

I felt the same as you - But we just booked our second cruise with them and haven't had a problem ever!

Whenever I send an email, I always get a response very quickly - They are well known here on the board and with Disney Cruise line - I have been very happy with the service they provide!

We transferred our ressies to them in August and have made many emails. They are very quick to respond.
They last one was within the hour! They also have a very informative web site. I would recommend them to everyone.

Can you request a DU TA?? and if so who did you prefer/like?

I think being a DU TA would be the best job around..

Sue Ellen is our DU agent, She is GREAT. We booked our trip last year thru her, she was very quick to answer all of our questions. last year we sailed on the wonder plus stayed at 3 different resorts, I woke up one morning got on the dis & found out that AP rates for our dates had come out that morning. So then i checked my e-mail and sure enough she had already gotten us the new rates for our stay saving us lots of money.
We have a trip booked thru Sue Ellen for this summer for the magic and for WDW. She always e-mails us informative info on happenings at disney and DCL.
If she is going out of town for a few days or on vacation we always get an e-mail telling us when she will be back and who to contact if we have any questions while she is gone. We will book all of our future disney trips with Sue Ellen.

We were thinking about changing our sail date to one that offers a fl discount rate, but ended up not being able to do it. The savings would have been over $900 but the kids would have missed the FCAT. She gave me a new quote within the hour...on NEW YEARS EVE! Need I say more!

for the change I might save for another TA...I'll take DU, and Carole...anyday for every DCL cruise. The education i've received from these boards and my TA do not out-weigh the small savings.

Try any other TA and ask them to book you a Seceret Porthole room...bettcha can't..........
