sounds like a nice relaxing time in the pool. too bad you did not meet up with the others.
Yes, it was very relaxing and much needed.

We were disappointed not to get to meet the infamous DM and Gang... :sad1: :guilty: :sad1:
But, believe me, we TOTALLY understood! "Best laid plans" and all.... there are just some things that, although you plan them and they make sense at the time of your planning, just don't work out. I think when "Disney Exhaustion" sets in, the best remedy is to take a time out and just regroup. Being tired and having nasty blisters do not make for a happy vacation. :sad2:

That being said, I can NOT believe DM didn't hire a limo and roll in on a wheelchair for her blistered feet, just so that she could MEET ME!!!!! GEESH! :lmao: :rotfl2: :lmao:
If you would have offered the limo.....we would have come. You know, kinda like Field of Dreams.... Send the limo and they will come! :rotfl2:

Hope your feet get better and sometimes a good swim is what you all need at WDW!!!
I hope my feet got better too.....;)

I am in sort of the same situation with my grandparents. They live on the opposite coast and I have not seen them since I was in high school. They are in their 80's and not doing so well. I hope to save up some money and go out to the west coast with my dad to visit them some time in the next year.
Sorry about your grandparents. You do know how expensive it is just to travel across the country. It just not the travel but car, hotel, etc. Family is wonderful and everything but if you are spending that much, then you kinda feel like you need to make the most of the trip.

SOunds like a nice relaxing evening. IT always good to have those to recharge the batteries.
Oh yeah!

First I have to say YAAAAAY, I'm all caught up!! What a great time you guys had. I am loving your report.

What a bummer I had to catch up at a time like this. I'm so sorry. I will say prayers that Grandma is alright!
No better time to join! Unless you were here from the beginning. I'm just glad you are enjoying my TR. There is much much better stuff coming up!

You do like to keep me guessing, don't ya?
Who me? :confused3

Hey, tomorrow on my T.R. is our long day at Epcot too!
If I can just get the next update done......this has been a hard week.

I know how you feel about not wanting to go back to the parks once you leave. I'm glad you guys had a great pool time though. :thumbsup2

How are ya gonna do Epcot all day with Blistery Sore feet? :scared:
I guess you will just have to find out how I did Epcot with my horrible feet! And yes, they were still horrible.

Just read your latest 2 updates--cool as always! I have a question about your photpass pics--did you add on the additions at home prior to buying the CD or what?
Thanks. Do you mean the graphics like "Where Dreams Come True" and the Star Wars stuff? Yes, you add all those on at home before you order the CD. It will save the original and add another pic with the graphics. In fact, you can have multiple pictures of the same pic with different graphics. You can also crop your photos.

Sounds like you had the evening that your family needed.I bet Brookie was adorable on the slide-what a brave girl.:woohoo:
Yes, it was a good evening and Brookie was hilarious coming down the slide.

The swimming hole and water slide sounds great--I'm heading over to all ears net to check out some pics. And the pina colada sound good too!:thumbsup2
I sometimes have a hard time remembering it's ok to not be in the parks every minute, but it's better for everyone to relax some.
I cannot ever go on vacation without at least 1 pina colada. They are my favorites! I just wish we had more time to relax.

First, I want to thank all of you for your well wishes and hugs regarding my grandmother. Here is an update on her condition. She had started chemotherapy and radiation this summer. She had really started to complain that her butt was burning her very badly but continued. However, the burning had gotten so bad that she had to temporarily suspend the radiation. She is still taking the chemotherapy. She is exhausted and a bit depressed. This is an 83-year-old lady who is very active. She has always been on the go and I think that is bothering her that she just can't do that now.

Some of you may have heard that my family had plans to go out to California in 2009. This was brought on by my grandmother's condition. But, as a family of 5, we just can't afford to go next year. Plus, it would also be a vacation for us too.

Since she has taken this little turn for the worse, I am considering flying out sooner with my dad to see her. It would be just me and him. I have to coordinate this around Rob's vacation time so he can watch the kids. There are no definite plans right now and we are just waiting to see what happens.

I'm sorry to hear about the burning and depression your grandmother is going through.

I hope you are able to pull it off and go out with your dad.

We're going back to Epcot....

Hopes:
1. More PhotoPass pictures taken...:cool2:
2. Good lunch at Coral Reef
3. My feet feel better with the blisters
4. Good & fun dinner at Garden Grill
5. A meeting with the Dream Team

Wants:
1. Ride Soarin’
2. Explore World Showcase
3. Get the kid’s pictures on a poster

As you can see from my list of “hopes and wants” there aren’t that many this time. This was to be our 2nd day at Epcot and we were planning on doing anything that we really missed out on plus a few more things. We planned on taking this day slow and steady...

I remember sleeping lightly in the morning. We had no real wakeup call. We planned on sleeping in just a bit and going from there. Then I heard Rob say, “The power is out.” My eyes popped open. I looked around. No a/c, no clock. Yup, power was out. Now, even though it was still early I was beginning to panic. I had to take a shower and get ready. That included needing the power. Please, please power come on. Sure enough, it came back on. I don’t know how long it was even out but it really made no difference in our getting ready. Had Rob not even mentioned it, I would never have had to panic. So darn that Rob!

We still were able to get ready and be out the door by 8:30ish. Not a problem in my book. When we arrived we were headed to get our double stroller when I noticed the Photopass CM.
bustoPP.jpg

Of course, you don’t think I could get past Spaceship Earth without taking a picture, did ya?
P1000907.jpg

Well, I was gonna give PhotoPass another shot. I figured today’s pictures had to come out better than yesterday’s at MGM. The CM took 3 different poses. The first with Spaceship Earth totally in our background...
image80.jpg

then another one just a bit closer up...
image76.jpg

...and finally a horizontal picture.
image69.jpg
It wasn’t until I ordered the PhotoPass CD and loaded them on my computer that I thought that there was just something off about these pictures. Then I realized that all of us, except Brookie, had our sunglasses on. So, being the Supremo Photo Pizzazzer that I am, I put some sunglasses on Brookie.

And all was well with the World again. The End.

Oops! I guess I should go on. You would probably want more than that for an update, right? Okey dokey. We went and picked up our double stroller and headed straight away to The Land to get some Soarin’ fast passes. No way, no how was I going to miss that attraction again. We all hiked it up the most steep incline that Disney has on this property and went inside. Rob’s job was to get the Soarin’ FPs and mine was to take Alec and Brookie to the restroom. Yes indeedy. It was already time for a potty break. Downstairs Rob and Evan went and I went to the restroom near the Garden Grill. I found the biggest stall available at the way end and we all went in. I had Brookie go first, then Alec. Then, I made Alec turn around and face the corner while I went. He’s a good kid. He listens, at least for that. Then we all washed up and went over to the escalater to meet up with Rob and Evan and then we were on our way to The Seas.
PPtoseas.jpg

But not before stopping at a cart to buy some most healthy chips and water. The kids were hungry. Apparently, their parents didn’t feed them well enough before they left for Epcot. Having them share a couple bags of chips, we were finally on our way to The Seas...:fish:

Next installment...June 28...Epcot...The Seas

I'm sorry to hear about the burning and depression your grandmother is going through.

I hope you are able to pull it off and go out with your dad.
Thank you! I'll keep you posted. Thanks for caring.

You know that you can always talk to me if you need someone! I care about you!
Thank you. But I must explain that I didn't mean this has been a hard week for me because of my grandma. It has just been a very busy week. I thought that once the kids went back to school that it would free up some time for me but it really hasn't. In fact, I am more busy carting Brookie around to preschool and dance.

I do have my ups and down with my grandma but I am not totally "worry worried" yet. Maybe because I'm not there to really see or whatever. I am relying on my dad to give me the info and he is not as concerned. It's just a waiting game I guess...:confused3

Then I heard Rob say, “The power is out.”

Aw man! :headache: Well at least y'all didn't sleep in until like noon or something! :scared:

So, being the Supremo Photo Pizzazzer that I am, I put some sunglasses on Brookie.

You are the awesomes photo pizzazzer. This smiley is very appropriate: :cool2:. HA!

And all was well with the World again. The End.

Haha, so very funny! :thumbsup2 I know you too well to just end the update like that! :cutie:

We all hiked it up the most steep incline that Disney has on this property

That incline is just so lovely  when it's 100 degrees out and your feet are killing you and you are just dying to get into that air conditioning!

I would have initially panicked as well worrying that I had slept in too late.

Brookie looks thrilled to be getting her picture taken.:rotfl: Love how you photoshopped the sunglasses in.:thumbsup2

Glad to see there was no picture taking in the bathroom like on Tink's report!:lmao:

I wanted to post this separately. I am sad to hear that your grandma is in such low spirits. I really hope that you can get out there to see her I am sure it would mean the world to her.

Then, I made Alec turn around and face the corner while I went. He’s a good kid. He listens, at least for that.
You know, and this is from experience here, I really don't think it is Alec being a good kid. I really think that he knows if he turns around and sees ANYTHING, he will be haunted for life.

My son still remembers lifting up my pajama shirt. Of course pajamas mean there was no bra.

Now that they are older, they fuss around in the bathroom ALOT!! Make me wait all the time. I just go in there and act like I am going to go whether they stay or not. Oh my gosh do they Move!!

It is the fear of seeing mommy's "stuff"!!

so sorry to hear about your grandmother.

i love the added sunglasses! super cool! :thumbsup2

i'm waiting for my friend to get off work so we can leave for DISNEY WORLD!!!!!!!!! i'm not bragging though. :rolleyes1

I am considering flying out sooner with my dad to see her. It would be just me and him.
DM I really hope you can do that

So darn that Rob!

That's hilarious DM and Ellie said are they Sharpay's glasses? Can you tell they're watching HSM2 :rotfl2: It's premiering here tonight :thumbsup2

But not before stopping at a cart to buy some most healthy chips and water. The kids were hungry. Apparently, their parents didn’t feed them well enough before they left for Epcot. Having them share a couple bags of chips, we were finally on our way to The Seas...:fish:
Well water's healthy at least you didn't get them soda :rotfl2:

:rotfl2: :rotfl2: :rotfl2: I wish my girls thought like that I have to stop them coming in the bathroom for a chat :rotfl2:

I love how you added the sunglasses! What program do you use oh supremo photo-tacular one? (sorry I can't remember your official title)

great update. power outage at Disney, at least it was while you just waking up and didn't effect you much.
I hope you do go see your Grandmother with your father it would be nice if you got the chance to go there.

I'm just catching up here and I am so sorry about your GM:hug:

Love the pics, especially after you touched them up with your uber photoshop skills.

I love Soarin' too, and no way am I going to Epcot and not riding that.

That is strange about the power outage. I know WDW uses their own generators and such. When I was on the Backstage Magic tour they were stating that's the place to be in a hurricane. When the rest of central FLorida had not power, WDW did.

Ugh, did you ever find out how ling the power was out for?

Sound like a great start to an EPCOT day:thumbsup2

I love the way you added the sunglasses on Brookie :thumbsup2

I have to agree with ILMICKEY here. I think he knows better and it would haunt him for life :rotfl:

Feeding your kids chips for breakfast :sad2:

Short and sweet update DM :goodvibes

Sorry to hear about grandma and the depression on top of the other must be tough for her and the family in general.
Thanks for the update and love the sunglasses on Brookie.

Well at least even with the power out you made it out at a good time.

Of course, you don’t think I could get past Spaceship Earth without taking a picture, did ya?
P1000907.jpg

Awww the wand; 'tis no more.

:thumbsup2 I love it DM. I noticed your smiley with the sunglasses on your Photopass Wants and now I see why. She did look kinda outta place without glasses though.

And all was well with the World again. The End.

:lmao:

Then, I made Alec turn around and face the corner while I went.

How come? :confused3

DM- I am so sorry to hear about your grandmother. I do hope that you and your dad can work it out to go. I have a very ill grandmother as well and we just recently made a trip to see her. It would be good if you can. Let us know how everything goes!

A power outage at Disney??? I didn't think that was possible!
That's some great photoshopping skills! I scrolled down and didn't even realize that she hadn't had them on until I went back and looked!
Woo hooty for Soarin'! Love that ride!
