I am an animal lover, I have one dog and two cats. I love my babies, they are my furry little kids.. but I don't let them crap in other people's yards. That is just disgusting. If you see my tag, I have issues with people letting their dog's do a doody in other people's yards.

I am proud of my home, my pretty yard.. I don't want dog poop in it.

I have had issues with this one particular lady on my street. The shelter had to do an order of protection against her for her husband at one time. Since I am the one who goes to court with the clients, the respondents (her) sometimes see me as a homewrecker, troublemaker, if I just minded my own business blah blah.. hey, I do not hunt people down and force them to get OPs.

Anyway, every since she went to court, she has been letting her dog poop in my yard. I will pull up and she and her little furry mutt will take off. Well, today as I was pulling in, she was letting him poop in my neighbor's yard, right beside their steps. Now, these neighbors are a young couple with little kids who play in the yard everyday. Now, who wants their toddler getting in dog poop?? As soon as the lady sees me pulling in, she starts taking off with her dog. I stopped her and told her that we really don't appreciate her bringing her dogs to our yard to do their business and we would kindly like if she would stop this practice immediately. I was very nice, but boy, my blood was boiling! UGH!!!!!!!!! Okay, don't venting!

I dunno. I never understood it myself - it takes literally 2 seconds to grab a bag before you walk out the door. I remember there was one occasion where I forgot to grab a bag, and I ran back to my house because Toby had done his business in a neighbor's yard.

For some reason, it also bothers me when people leave their dogs poop bag in our garbage can, just because it happened to be sitting out by the curb (garbage had already been picked up that day). It's bad enough to have to smell my own dog's poo, but when I have to smell someone else's it really annoys me.

Wow, we live in an area that has at least two dogs in every house and most owners have three dogs. Your situation is terrible and I don't have any definate answer. Maybe you could go to her house and ask her nicely to carry a plastic bag with her while she walks her dog so she can pick up the excremet her dog leaves behind. :thumbsup2 I do have a problem with any person who is irresponsible in regards to their pets or children.

I think that that sort of dog owner shouldnt have a dog if they aren't going to pick up after it. Now, I am sort of a smart a==, and I had someone do this to my yard and I have always had dogs and I put it in a bag, and dumped it on her front step at night. No more problems after that, and I did ask her to not have her dog do that, but she didn't listen.

I have thought about that, but due to my job, I am not allowed to go to any house that a perpetrator lives at. Doing so would be grounds for termination. I guess I'll just continue to yell at her while she is letting the dog poop in yards LOL!

Before I get flamed, let me say that I was a dog owner.

I don't understand why people walk their dogs and let them do their business anywhere but their own yards! Bag or no bag.

Our dog only did her thing in my backyard. When I took her for walks, we did just that...walked. I didn't let her stop and do any duties along the way.

I don't understand it, either. We had a neighbor who let his dog do this when we lived in Michigan.

He would let his dog go right while we were standing there and then act as if it was okay because he picked it up with a bag. WTH? It's still on there even after you pick it up. GROSS!

DH told him that if he did it again DH would poop in his yard next time he went out for a walk. I don't see any difference-poop is poop. :rotfl2:

I have no problem with a dog pooping in my yard if the owner picks it up. Yes, poop is poop, but there are birds, squirrels, deer and everything else runninng around, and I have to think that they poop in my yard on occasion, and certainly don't pick up after themselves!!!! ;) I don't even mind if the owners put the dog ppoop bag in my garbage...then at least it's oout of the way where no one will step on it, and I don't spend a lot of time sniffing around my outside garbage can, so smell isn't an issue for me.

People who don't pick up after their dogs pooping...well, I guess consider the source and imagine what their houses look like!!!! :scared1:

To the OP...I am sure your neighbor is "retaliating" for your involvement in her issues. Chalk it up to childishness on her part.

Okay, maybe I am a little confused. While I would never leave dog waste in someone's yard (not even my own, picked up immeadiately!), we have a Golden Retreiver and how exactly do you stop him from pooping anywhere they please?

I take him for a walk and we can just be trotting right along and WHAM! he is squatting. Do you just pull him along even if he is trying to do his business? I just can't imagine pulling my dog around while he is trying to squat.

I made sure she went before we left for our walk. I didn't give her the opportunity to stop to sniff along the way. We walked.

Carry a small digi-cam and video the offense. Most cities have ordinances against this. Pictures are usually worth a thousand words. And if she sees you recording her actions, she may just stop without you doing anything further.

My 2 meat-heads are very well trained to only do their business in their own yard. I tell others, who let their pets crap in my yard, that I have plenty and will share with them too if they think it's so OK.

I also have a problem with people who think it's OK to let their pets relieve themselves in city parks, just because it's 'public property'.

When we walk, I don't let my dog ON anyone's property. She is on the street unless we are at an empty lot, etc. She knows the places she is allowed to poop (or even to explore), I pick it up, and we go on our way.

Same way you house-broke him. He squats outside his own yard, you yell "NO". Turn him around and put him in his yard and when he squats there, praise him.

I hear ya. We used to live on a corner lot that was on the path to the lake in our development. Dogs would start walking, and about the time they got to our yard they'd have to go. Many a times I'd walk out with a bag and hand it to the owner and say "here, seems like you forgot your bag" and I'd stand there while they picked it up. Now we live out in the country and our yard is bigger and harder to monitor. But it still happens. I don't have a dog (anymore) and so therefore I shouldn't have to deal with dog poop, IMHO.

But, check ebay....they have signs for sale...if you do a search for "dog poop sign" you'll get some. How about posting one of these in your yard?

Can't find it now, but there was one with a graphic of a dog pooping and a graphic of a human pooping and it said "if your dog craps in my yard, i'm going to come crap in yours!!!" :lmao:

I agree with you.

I was flamed a while back by dog owners because I was angry at a neighbor who's dog pooped all over my driveway. Of course when I pulled in it got on my tires and my 4 year old stepped in it getting out of the car. Of course then he freaked out that there was poop on his shoes so he took them off, which got dog poop on his hands, which he wiped on his pants, which I then had to wash, along with the shoes and the kid and the driveway.

Of course I was accused of being anti-dog and told it wasn't a big deal.

She doesn't have him on a leash. She walks down the middle of the road (no sidewalks on our street) while he runs from lawn to lawn pooping and peeing. She stands in road and watches him and waits for him to get done pooping before she calls him.  :furious:

:crazy2:

This thread is making my stomach ill. My dog only goes in our backyard. But when ever we take him for a walk we always bring bags just in case. We never had to use them though.

Its disgusting to have someone elses dog poop in your yard. ICK! And how much grosser to step in it when you didn't know to look out for it. GAG!

Okay, gotcha :thumbsup2 . We haven't actually had Sully poop in anyone's yard while taking him for a walk, I was just curious how to prevent it (first dog and he is only 6 months).

Funny story, though. About three weeks ago, Sully ran out of the house while we were emptying groceries and the first thing he did was run into the neighbor's yard and take a huge dump. Evidently, he was "marking" his territory. We did pick it up.

Here is a pic. of our furry baby, Sully....

You know, I am understanding and I know that animals are well.. a bunch of animals :lmao: And if someone's dog runs and poops in my yard, and the owner picked it up, I would think, "Silly dog... good owner.. " But this gal is standing in the road puffing her smoke and letting her dog go from house to house... so it gets my goose everytime because she doesn't make an effort to clean it up.

And it is a little bitty dog, I don't know how the thing that crap as much as it does :lmao: :lmao: :rotfl2: :rotfl2:

That is just rude and low-class! :sad2:

She is probably feeding the thing "Beef-A-Roni" to increase it's "output" :rotfl2:
