I was just outside with the tractor being the good neighbor and clearing neighbors yards out...this guy who lives on the other side of the circle comes over with his snowblower, and starts talking to my neighbor...I had to refuel, so I shut down the tractor...and heard..

"I've had it with the snow, all this snow...blah blah snow snow horrible blah blah...I hate this snow blah blah"..

DUDE, you LIVE IN VERMONT!!!! What the heck do you expect 80' weather all year??

I just dont get it, you chose to live here...why are you complaining...do people in california walk around complaining about earthquakes?

I guess people just need to find SOMETHING to complain about to be happy. If I HATED the snow so much I'd move...geez...

Thanks for making me chuckle this morning! :p I totally agree with you. It's New England AND it's December, what do you expect?!??!!? These same people complain about the heat in August, too.

Don't get me wrong, I comment on the weather too sometimes, it's something to talk about. But it's not unexpected! And if someone really hated it all that much there's plenty of the country that has very mild winters!

I only have 19 more winters in PA! :D Then DH and I plan to retire to somewhere warm and sunny - ORLANDO!!

I do try not to complain too much. I was born here and never knew anything different. Now I have a good paying job and am working toward a pension. At the earliest, I can retire in 8.5 more years but to get a full pension will be another 10 years after that.

Maybe this guy is in the same position - feeling like he's got to get in so many more years on a job, or has to stay to take care of family, etc.

And he'll probably be the one complaining about the heat this summer too.

My best advice - smile a lot, let it go in one ear and out the other, and be thankful that you're able to maintain a better attitude. :D

Well, you know what we say here in New England: "If you don't like the weather, just wait 15 minutes, it''ll change".

I agree if you don't like the snow, move or at least don't drive in it. I hate being on the road with people who don't know how to drive in snow. Come on, it's not like it never snows here. We've had 15" total snow so far I think and its not even "winter" yet.
