why do I plan anything!!!!!

Originally I had this nice 7 day DCL cruise planned for the Eastern, then added 3 days before our trip to VWL, all for end of August. Was beyond excited. Then DH didn't think he could take that much time off, so switched his tickets to just arrive the day of the cruise, called Song because our ticket prices went down, and they gave me a voucher for the difference (yeah!!), then decided 7 day cruise would be a LOOONGGG week with our extremely active 4 year old, so said fine, switch to a 3 night cruise, fly down a day early, stay at the Hyatt, then 6 nights at VWL. All is Ok!! Then decided silly to come a day early, we have the vouchers, so come the day of the cruise, paid the change fee ($25.00 per ticket), and all was still okay! No DH realized that 2 of his guys are out of work the same week (we are self employed) and not even thinking I would miss my neice/god daughters 6th birthday! So now we are coming home early on Thursday the 26 instead of the 28th!!, another change fee, my vouchers are now down to $36.00 per person! And now I'm sitting patiently to call MS to cancel my last 2 nights, the only bright side is the 88 points that I can bank for next year!!! Sorry to vent, just can't believe how my wonderful 11 day disney vacation has turned into 7 nights of hustle and bustle!!

i hope your trip comes soon so you wont have time to change your plans again, enjoy your trip ! but to tell you the truth i would rather have done the 4 day cruise and 1 day less at VWL.

I'm so sorry for your plans having to be changed. My DH also owns his business and I deal w/ him "canceling" our excursions all the time. I'm tougher on him now that we have kids and won't let him cancel as often. But it still is a pain in the butt.

Anyway, I get thru it by thinking of how we wouldn't be DVC owners, or me a SAHM, w/o his business. So I try to take the good w/ the bad. But it's soooo hard sometimes.

I hope your 7 day trip is still magical for you. My heart goes out to you for the hassles of having to change your plans so often.

thanks, it will all work out. It's not like we don't go away, but we have never stayed at WDW and not done it commando style. So I was really looking forward to the "resort" stay! It will still be a great tip, plus my niece will be happy her cousins are home for her birthday!!!
