Why did MDE let me book FP well before 60 days?

Nope. I’m saying those who had a 15 day jump on me were given a SDD FP before I could even see availability & therefore reduced my chances unfairly. Want to tell me specifically how my logic is flawed? & if this were a FP for SWGE people would be up in arms.
I agree with you, either have it open for everyone or for no one, unless it is some new benefit that applies to certain situations, then explain what those are so that people can choose to use them or not.

Are you upset because you can't profit from this glitch? Or are you upset because others continue to do so. SDD has been hard to get glitch or not. I checked earlier out of curiosity and that is the ONLY ride that has no availability to the 62 day mark. There are no FPs available till May 22nd for this ride. The other headliners have much better availability. That tells me that this "glitch" is not the sole reason for you not getting SDD. Everything else you can grab a FP for. You have every right to be upset...with the fact that you could not get SDD, but saying it's the fault of the DISers here who took advantage of the glitch is wrong. There are 100s and 100s who know nothing about this glitch and their 60 day window opened long before yours.
I’m angry because this thread is encouraging something which potentially negatively impacts others. If I hadn’t gotten an FP just in the natural course of things then oh well. I’ve ropedropped SDD & FOP several times. I’m not adverse to standing in line. I like to think people play fairly. Just naïve I guess.

Naive? No. But who you should really be upset with is Disney and it's techs for not fixing this glitch. If it's meant to be there, then fine, let everyone know why it is so the playing field is level. If it's not meant to be there, close it so we don't have DISers like you upset or angry about a glitch being used. When this thread first started, it was originally just to ask why someone was able to make their FPs before 60 days. And well...you see what has happened 21 pages later. I'm not sure it will help you as the SDD FP was something you really wanted. (And guess what, you can STILL get it if you continue to check closer to your trip. I've read plenty have gotten it day of, which is surprising) Visit the website link I'm leaving you and look at the headliner rides and the FPs available. I'm telling you if this "glitch" was as bad as you think it is Mine Train, Test Track, Soarin, and Frozen Ever After wouldn't look the way they do. :-)

FWIW, I did my 60 day FPs a few days ago, both SDD and FOP were available for 60+1.

I’m always disgusted with Disney tech, but corporate and personal responsibility are not mutually exclusive.

I’ve been to WDW 4 times since late Aug & never gotten day of. I need a newer phone. I’m at a disadvantage there, but that’s on me. This one, no. This one is on others.

I could definitely understand people being sad a glitch doesn't work for them. However, I don't begrudge anyone who can figure out a trick or tip to improve their vacation.

I spent $150 on club level FP to get SDD on the first day of our trip. Turns out I didn't need to. Well, that's life, I guess.

Other people have trips that are two weeks long and they'll have first crack at the FP. That's life, too. On-site guests also have an advantage. That's the way it goes. In fact, you could argue that a totally random bug in the system is a lot more fair than handing out FP based on what type of room one can afford.

There's a difference, to me, in trying to gain an advantage by improving one's own position as compared to gaining an advantage by hurting someone else's position. No one here is trying to do the latter.

I agree the issue should be with Disney. If people come to the forums and hear that DAH is letting you in at 6 but it’s advertised it lets you in at 7, I don’t feel the people who found out on the board to go at six are cheating. They end up with an hour advantage over others but that was Disney’s doing. If a person’s app says make fast passes then I see no reason they shouldn’t. It’s not like they hacked into the Disney computers. I do however understand the frustration. I’ve never ridden SDD and it’s the most important ride to me on the upcoming trip. So of course I’d love to set my early alarm on day 60 and know everyone else is doing the same. But I have no ill will towards someone who gets lucky. Now if people were hacking into some Disney main frame and cheating that would be different. I’m going to do my best to get SDD and the ones my kids are hoping for but I know a trip without Slinky isn’t going to ruin it one bit. Best of luck to all us Disney lovers in getting the rides we hope for.

The reason why this glitch isn’t available to you is the hard close on rolling windows from Stays within the past two - three months.

That was the first thing Disney closed and then somehow opened up this ‘leading window’ for those who aren’t able to visit the parks on a regular basis.

Thanks for the link, that is so helpful. I paid for the touring plan website, but your link appears to be more precise.

They are literally forcing the system to break.

You are MOST welcome. With this 74/75 day window, I was worried. But as I looked today, I see that SDD is the only one that may be a problem....that's IF I was interested...which I am not....HS is not my thing. :duck:

No one here is forcing the system to break. Disney’s IT is just so poor as to have allowed this glitch to open and remain open. But again no one here is causing the glitch.
I haven’t even read through this entire thread & yes members are logging in & out, pressing start over multiple times. Yes Disney IT is garbage. All this banging away at the system over & over unnecessarily is indeed forcing the 75 day window to open.

I bet the majority of those responding with justifications have benefited from this glitch. I’m done being Jiminy Cricket. Carry on.

Guess what, I'm in that range and....I haven't. I was just trying to understand why you were so adamant to be upset at all the DISers who benefited from a glitch caused by Disney themselves. You explained and it was appreciated. And despite what's going through your head right now, I PERFECTLY understand YOUR side of the story.

So is the glitch opening on day 75 or 74?

Do you somehow think a handful of people logging in and out is causing a DDoS attack on MDE???? Do you have any clue what you are saying? No one is forcing the glitch. A handful of people doing this should not bring down a system designed to handle millions of requests. If it does they have much larger problem then this one glitch.

And for the record it’s a 74 day rolling window not a 75 day rolling window.

I believe I said that I understood Dis IT is garbage... & please. I’m not into hyperbole. Good deal. 74, 75, whichever.
