Why did MDE let me book FP well before 60 days?

I don't know if it made any difference or not, but I did complete online check-in before I was able to book fastpasses early.

I had mine completed and the window was not open for me. I don’t think there’s any real pattern. We had a mix of tickets, AP and time sensitive. I did book at my 60days though and had amazing availability.

I did not repeatedly check nor did I sign in and out multiple times trying to force the system- that may have more to do with it than anything else, but I don’t think anyone knows why it’s doing it or how long it will last.

Today is 74 days before my arrival date. We all have AP vouchers. My FP window is not yet open. Tried both, the app and the website. Maybe they stopped doing the testing behind the scenes that opened the windows early?

I was able to book my dd' today again, 5th day in a row. Sometimes I have to refresh several times before the calendar will go to May, but it's still working.

Thanks, have you completed online check-in?

Never mind...I logged in to her MDE and made FP for her family. So it applies to Florida resident 3 day tickets with an onsite stay as well.

I was just connected in MDE wrong.

I remember someone saying theirs disappeared, after yes scanning

But she never posted again with any other details when posters asked for specifics.

Some people have more than one account linked to their email and FPs can end up lost in the system.

I am the poster who had the FP's disappear. Sorry sometimes life gets in the way and I haven't had time to check in here for a few days, but I did post again after the initial post, you must have missed it. I have a two resort split stay, was able to book for the first resort one day and then the next day was able to book for the 2nd resort. They all disappeared after a couple of days. I completed online check in for the first resort but not the 2nd. We both have AP's. Since I was the only one who had FP's disappear I rebooked and those stayed. My 60 window opened last week and everything is still there. :dogdance:

For those worrying about only one person showing on the FP, it was like that on our last trip in November and we had no problems with any of them.

Thanks for reporting!

You still are, after 19,000+ views of this thread, the only poster to report you lost FPs. Glad you were able to rebook them. :goodvibes

Good to know. I didn't think it would be an issue since it was showing up as the actual number of guests when you clicked on the details of the FP plus if you logged onto MDE from the actual website it was showing up as the actual number of guests booked in both the my plans section and also details of each FP. I certainly people being worried. There was a poster who actually contacted Disney about that issue and they were told it was supposed to be fix in the next update to the app. If that happens or not nobody knows.

75 days out here. Can't make FP from mobile or desktop. When I try to make them from either, it says I'm not in my window yet and states I need to link valid tickets for the people in my party I'm trying to make FP selections for. Assuming this is not due to having tickets linked (since we have tickets linked in MDE) but because I'm not in my 60 day window yet. For those who are able to get in and see the calendar to to select certain days, are you saying that the "glitch" is part that will not allow me to get in early but is allowing you guys to bypass?

We are 72 days out and I have been able to make FP selections the last two days through the website for all four of us. I did complete online check-in a few weeks ago.

Edited to add: We have AP's.

My booking window should open on the 25th and right now I can book for the first day of my stay. I’ll check tomorrow morning to see if I can schedule my fast passes for the day I’m actually in the park. I’m hoping I can since the FP that are available are amazing right now.

I wasn't able to book our FPs prior to the day of our 60 day window (3/10). I tried all the tricks and it wouldn't let me get to our May dates. We are APs. Didn't matter I was able to get each and every FP I wanted for the dates/times I wanted them. Those FPs included FoP x2, SDD x2 and SDMT x1 (only wanted it once) and there were plenty of times from the beginning to end of the trip for all of the attractions. I guess the point is, don't be dejected or stress if you aren't one of the select few who had early access. :flower3:

Hope that luck holds out for our fall trip now that SWGE is opening far earlier than expected. :rolleyes1

We have APs & a trip (w/FPs scheduled) between now and our May trip. Have not been able to book early for our May FP. Wondering if the trip in between affects it. Anyone have experience with this scenario?

That's our same scenario too. I wonder if that's why our FP window hasn't opened early.

This is good to know! I have the FL resident 4 day ticket! My window is supposed to open April 3. I'm going to see if I'm lucky enough to get that 70 day window around the 24th.

I am able to do it at 74 days so try then. It may take some persistence but I do get it to work, eventually. Try over and over. lol

It probably is. Disney programmed closure of current FP windows - no one who has FPs for an upcoming onsite stay has a rolling window after the checkout date.
