Why did MDE let me book FP well before 60 days?

...because Disney's website is a stupid poopyhead? I mean, that's the real answer.... :rolleyes1:teeth:

I waited until 60 days out and we were able to get what we needed (including the exact times we'd planned our windows out - woot), but we're going the week after crazy-Easter so that probably helped too. However, if I'd been able to get my FPs before 60 days I would have lived in anxiety until I was sitting on the ride itself, so it is just as well that I didn't know it was giving out FPs before the 60 days... haha.

75 days out here. Can't make FP from mobile or desktop. When I try to make them from either, it says I'm not in my window yet and states I need to link valid tickets for the people in my party I'm trying to make FP selections for. Assuming this is not due to having tickets linked (since we have tickets linked in MDE) but because I'm not in my 60 day window yet. For those who are able to get in and see the calendar to to select certain days, are you saying that the "glitch" is part that will not allow me to get in early but is allowing you guys to bypass?
Thank you for posting this question. Mine says the same thing and I was wondering as well...

I was wondering if the people who can make the fast passes early are Passholders. My nephew is and he was able to book a few days early

I'm an AP holder and I was able to do so. I also have a few nights at the GF before moving to an off-site condo. I was only able to book for 3 days and for the rest of the days we're planning on going to the park we have to book 30 days out. There are some posters who previously stated in this thread that they are not AP holders and were able to book early.

And those like me who indicated they are APs and could NOT make them early.

I was able to make FP early (3 days, did not try before that). I am not an AP. I am a CM with a MEP, booked for me and my son using a guest pass. We have a split stay, one night at AoA (cash) then Copper Creek on points. Was able to book for entire stay. But I assume we were lucky and this was during a glitchy couple of days.

I am able to do it at 74 days so try then. It may take some persistence but I do get it to work, eventually. Try over and over. lol

I most certainly will. Were you on the app or the website? If it's 74 days....that falls on a Sunday for me, so I'll be able to have both open with no problem. And what did you do...keep refreshing the window?

I am a passholder, and am staying on-site at the Poly for 7 nights in May, then moving to a Disney Springs Hilton for 3 additional days. I was able to make all my FP+ 75 days out for my on-site stay, but when I tried to make my FP+ for the Hilton, I was told that I've reached my FP limit. I originally thought it just counted my 7 nights as an AP holder towards my FP limit, but it actually gave me 8 days of FP with my onsite stay. So, I will try and make my Hilton FP on my 60 day mark, in the hopes that MDE will recognize my 60 day window at that time. Anyone else have this scenario that has any insight?

So, I will try and make my Hilton FP on my 60 day mark,
The FP window should open for your Hilton stay. If it doesn’t, call the AP HelpDesk - see the DSprings Hotels thread on the Orlando Hotels Board for tips as APs have reported success by calling the HelpDesk.

I am not an AP holder but was able to make fast passes early due to the glitch in the system

I successfully booked my FP at MK at 74 days out (rolling window so yesterday I could have booked the first day of my trip, today I booked the day I’m in the park)... it’s glitchy. I had to refresh the app multiple time and because I was booking different FP for some of my group it took me forever... but I have them! I guess I should be surprised that the glitch is glitchy when trying to book :) but these are the best FP I’ve ever managed to get and since it’s a one day trip to the park it was well worth the effort...

Edited to add: staying at port Orleans riverside- 1 day anytime ticket (because it’s Memorial Day that was the same as a date based ticket so we did that)...

Just an update this morning I was able to get in and make a selection for my arrival day (74 days out) when I could not even get to the calendar yesterday at 75 days. Not making any FP for arrival day so I will most likely be trying again day by day. For reference I have the "magical" theme park tickets that include a bonus water park day.

I've had success with the App and the website. Just constant "start over" or "back" or refreshing the page. I haven't found a sure fire way but I've gotten every day to work by just trying over and over.

I agree there was no rhyme or reason when the glitch would allow you to book and when it wouldn’t, something is truly wrong with their software...

I was able to book each of my fastpasses 74 days in advance. I had to do them one day at a time, which was odd, but didn't matter because everything was available this far ahead.

When the first day of the trip was 14 days away, I could pick the first day's fastpasses with much refreshing. The next day, 74 days from the second day from my trip, I could pick the fastpasses for that day, and so on. My tickets were not date based. Thank you to hiroMYhero for compiling the information in this thread! I never thought Slinky Dog Dash and Flight of Passage would be this easy to take.

I was able to book with the 74 day rolling window last week. I have date based tickets purchased with a package. It worked for me on the web using chrome and best with an incognito window. I was never able to book new ones with the app but can modify them there fairly easily.

The only other thing that might be of note is that I also stayed on property in December, though they should have closed any glitches with the old split stay windows.
