Why are there so few "Wonder" trip reports on the trip reports board?

When we went on the Magic two years ago - I read trip reports almost daily just to help me prepare and to live vicariously through others' trips.

Now that we're waiting for a Wonder trip (in December), I find that very few 3 and 4 day cruisers write trip reports when they return!

Please remember to let us know all about your Wonder trip in a nice, detailed report when you return!

:smooth:

IMHO, most board members are smart enough (or hooked) to take 7 day, seems far fewer take the shorter cruises...now that I have been on a four day, I know why

I have read every Barb and Tony trip report and savored the details as I planned my own - perhaps they are the gold standard few of us could match!

Even though I was stupid enough to take a 4 day wonder cruise and book a 3 day for next year, the reason I haven't written up a trip report is that I haven't gotten to it. I should go over my notes, maybe I will make that my project this weekend (especially since there is precious little information about NYE cruises out there!)

I wrote a report when I went on the Wonder last September. If you haven't read it already, you can click on the link in my siggy. :)

Mine (from December) is coming next week, finally! All of my notes and pictures were on my notebook computer, which--well, the poor thing is held together by duct tape (honestly!) and had to go out for a bit of servicing. It's back, and all of my data is still intact, so I'm going to spend my nice long 4-day weekend trying to get the report together for posting next week!

Smart enough? There may be any number of reasons people choose to take a 3/4 night cruise instead of a 7 night.
DH and I have taken two 7-night cruises, but when we asked my parents to take a cruise with us we decided a 4-night would be better, as neither of them had ever cruised before so we weren't sure if they would like it. They did though. :teeth:

We were on the 4-night Wonder last month and I do plan to write out a report. I kept a journal. Just haven't "gotten around to it" yet. But I will! :teeth:

Please please please coz we will be going in a few weeks!

I need your tips and hints :)

Here is a tip, don't call people "stupid or smart" because the length of their cruise.

Not everyone can afford a 7 day. Congratulations on your upcoming cruise.

I don't think you are "smart" enough to know that not everyone wants to take a seven day cruise. I am amazed that "SOME" people on this board don't understand that not everyone wants to live by "your" particular "standards." I am sure that her family will enjoy their 4 day cruise just as much as your family will enjoy your 7 day cruise.

That's what makes a Disney cruise so great - you can choose the length you want. I encourage all DIS board members to be kind when posting replys. Implying that other posters "aren't smart enough" isn't what this board needs.

I wish all DIS board members that take a three, four, seven night, or back-to-back Eastern/Western the most wonderful cruise ever.

I read all the reports 3, 4, or 7 day because I pick up great tips from all of them. Keep the reports coming so I know how to plan :teeth: I am so jealous of you all !!!

I can't wait until January 2005 for my first Disney Cruise but I will see you all May 14 at WDW. My daughter wouldn't let me Cruise first :) !

Happy sailing!!!!:wave2:

Amazing where these threads go...
I am the one who used the word "smart." I did so because I was being "cute" and tried to imply what many people commonly post - being on either ship - anywhere, anytime is terrific. Reading my post, you will see that we went on a four day - I am a single mom and that was a stretch for me. No new cruise planned - of any length - I just lurk here to dream.

I do think that statistically, most board members go on the 7 day - for a wide variety of reasons (no intellect reference here).
Please end the flames. I will try harder to be more clear with my posts in the future.

professorandmom: Maybe if you would have used the winking smilie...;)...then people may have understood you were trying to be "cute."

It's difficult sometimes to tell the "tone" a person is using, when you can't actually hear how they are saying it. So then people may take what you say the wrong way.
