Why are Jeeps so Angry?

I've noticed this trend around here for people to have Jeeps with an "angry face" on them. It's like some package that gives a slant above the headlights and soemtimes red lights, etc. I've seen several of these around. I always thought Jeeps were happy little guys, all hanging loose with their no tops or doors, heading to the beach to chill. These angry jeeps are a bit much to handle.
As a Jeep owner most the Jeep groups call those Heeps! We do our best to save those poor Jeeps from a sad life of ridicule and humiliation. The only thing worse are the eyelashes!

I always find it funny that almost every suv or truck commercial shows them racing through forests on narrow trails, climbing dangerous looking mountain roads, frolicking in the deserts or racing along the beach, dodging waves coming up on the sand....

I've never understood why some drivers drive with their fog lights on all the time. ...
Dan, a couple things. At least in the Jeep world those videos are pretty accurate and yes a whole lot of mall crawlers too. We sold our ATVs and now we take the Jeep out on logging roads and the beach/dunes and love it.

As for the lights, well until this current Wragler "JL" came out the long line of Jeeps had one consistacy... head lights SUCKED! I ran with my fogs and still they SUCKED. I've since put on LEDs and I can finally see. It really is a Jeep thing, and not a good thing.

Jeeps are probably angry because they need therapy. Or some cuddle time with a dog or cat.
You should see the big community of Jeep Dogs! My dogs LOVE our Jeep!

If you paid 30k+ for a vehicle that drives as badly as a Wrangler, you would be angry too.
You know, its funny but its some what true. But I will say every day I drive my Jeep it makes me happy and takes away the stress of my life. Mine is 10 years old and I love it as much everyday as the first day I took it home. While its not a well behaved highway vehicle, my Wangler will damn near climb a tree. When we had 16" of snow in a couple of days our community came to a standstill (we're in the desert and people are not equipped for snow) but my Jeep and I were our all day helping out, never found a snow pile it didn't chew threw. I lost count how many trucks and SUVs were stuck.

If anything, YOU are the one triggered by others’ opinions and are whining about it.
The perfect example of a cult member.

Everyone else is taking those comments as the good-natured ribbing that they are.

I'm totally triggered...... To post another meme.

Did you know 90% of Jeeps sold since 2010 are still on the road? The other 10% made it home and aren't waiting for a tow truck.

I'm sure the Jeep fanboys really were upset when the Italians bought the company. Jeep was an all American brand since its inception until the Italians and now Dutch bought the company.

Not on the jeep topic but Disney related. I remember when I was working at the Halloween store back in college some of the people I worked with were very concerned when Disney announced they were buying Marvel. They were so worried Disney would make a mess of the brand and completely ruin what it had been about.

I've always thought of Jeep owners as helpful people because of the articles posted in our newspaper about Jeeps roaming around here during bad weather so they can use their winches to pull people out of ditches.

My DH wants this car with a snorkel attached.

No didn't confuse you and your point was very clear. Another person here actually said and I quote, Jeeps are the vehicle of choice for people that are dealt a bad hand in the world. Would you consider that an offensive comment? Ironic considering we were looking at a Wrangler once bc my husband's truck doesn't fit into his job parking lot in the winter time, in the nice months he uses a smaller commuter hybrid but needs for snow. The price on the Jeep Wrangler we liked was OVER 55K lol.

No I wouldn’t consider that offensive but I don’t look at everything and figure out how I can be offended by it, especially if its a comment from some strangers on a message board.
I know several jeep people and you could say they were dealt a bad hand in the world. They wouldnt be offered by that statement either.

Not sure what is ironic in your last statement, being dealt a bad hand doesn’t have to mean anything about money.

Just for the record I owned. Saturn so I do know what I’m talking about:thumbsup2

Ain't that the truth! I knew a person who was enamored by Saturns when they came out and proudly paid cash for one. I just remembered it constantly being in the shop.

They were enthusiastic for a long time, until they finally got rid of it. After it left them stranded on the road one last time. That car was beyond being a lemon.

Calm down, Jeepers! We're not here asserting that Jeep owners drink goat's blood or chant in tongues... but is it fun to joke about? Pretty much.

Having said that, here's Jeep owners celebrating someone's decision to transition from lease to purchase on a new Wrangler:

Jeep owners have nothing on the Tesla Cult!

Tesla/TSLA owners probably sacrifice Jeep owners!

Wrangler owner here! We are kind of a cult, lol. We wave at each other, talk to each other, have clubs, groups, meets and events!

No angry grill on mine, but that's one of the fun parts of owning a Jeep. You can make it your own easily unlike most other vehicles. I will say this, it is not the most practical vehicle, but I will always own one! It's great in the snow, dirt, sand, on road, off road, any season AND it's a convertible that's an absolute blast to drive and customize. Love them!

My husband wanted one as he cannot fit into his job parking lot in the winter in NYC well with his truck. They look fun.

They are fun for sure. And very capable as a daily driver or weekend fun vehicle! The biggest issue I have with mine is that my wife loves to drive it as much as I do, which means if she leaves before me, I'm stuck with the Mini Van, lol. We have actually talked about picking up a 2nd Jeep to fix that issue......:goodvibes
