Why are DVC members like Presidential Candidates?

Hey...I don't want this post to close. Its too cute! Why don't we try making about characteristics of politicians in general.

We like to go where there are a lot of kissable babies around.

Some of us tend to lie about where we are going cause we don't like people saying...AGAIN!!

We are at Disney so we are all about family values. Although, I dare say we are actually about family values and some politicians only TALK about family values.

Some of us may have a nice polished tan because we spend so much time with the mouse.

We've spent a lot of time in fantasyland.

We get to vacation in larger and fancier rooms than others.

Both DC and WDW are beautiful destinations built on swamps.

Both DC and WDW are known for alligators, though the ones in DC are more likely to eat you alive.

etc. etc. etc.

I'm sure you guys can come up with some more.

Then maybe McCain can annouce it from Fantasyland.....

He'll need an ECV to get to Fantasyland, but I'm sure he has his own, so it'll all be good for him over in Fantasyland.

you know the first thing that I think of when I hear about Disney and politics is the fact that after all these years, Mickey Mouse always manages to get a few votes in the Presidential election. I'm sure this year will be no different.

Please re-read the posting rules for this forum. They are found at the top of the board and state the following:

This is the place to post "Welcome Homes" and other congratulations, trip countdowns, room and trip reports, DVC rumors and speculations, DVC special events (cruises, member get togethers, ride/attraction previews), member discounts and perks, other Disney perks and how they related to DVC members (DDE, Dining Plan, etc). These discussions are welcome here. Any threads/topics not DVC specific will either be moved to the appropriate DIS forum, or will be closed.

If you have questions about other WDW resorts, restaurants, tickets/ticket brokers, weather, crowds and other non-DVC related information, please post those on the appropriate boards (Theme Parks, Resorts, Restaurants, Trip Planning, Rumors, Budget, etc.). If you have questions/comments about non-Disney topics, please post those on the DIS Community Board.

NO “For Sale” posts are to be made anyplace on the DISboards website. This includes making mention of resort, Use Year or number of points when requesting information about selling. "Want-to-Buy" posts are also not allowed.

We thought this thread would be short lived and go away, but it hasn't and since this thread is mostly political in nature and has nothing to do with DVC it is being closed. Feel free to take your political discussions to the community board.
