So, I decide to take a short trip to WDW next month. I'm in a rotten mood and I need to get away. I book 4 nights at the Poly with AAA. I go to the AAA office and sit there.

I never got the AAA discount. It's supposed to be 15% off for my time of year. What the heck???

Call Disney and ask for the AAA discount... depending on your dates, it may or may not be available.

That's what I was thinking....but, I wonder if he would have said that. I would think he would have said no AAA rates available, do you want regular rate? But, he didn't. BTW....Contemporary is completely booked up that weekend. Wonder what that means.

Which dates are you looking for? The marathon is the weekend of Jan 9th I believe. Then you got the MLK holiday weekend the following week. Discount codes came out for January but they have expired. AP rates are still available.

It's the weekend after MLK...Jan. 20-24. Maybe there is a convention at the CR, which is fine....but, I would have liked some notice about not getting a discount, so I can decide whether I want to shop around for a better rate.

Maybe it's because I didn't get a package and just booked the rooms? I have no idea.....I'll have to call next week and figure it out.

Many times they will not offer a discount unless you specifically ask for it.

The rate has was quoted when we made our reservations seemed hired than it should, but the rate quoted by the CMs include tax. I bet the tax is around 15%

Call your AAA agent. Otherwise check www.mousesavers.com for specials. Or you can call WDW CRO directly and ask if there are any special discount rates available.

Hope your mood improves as your trip draws near!!

Happy Disney Trip!

Tax is 11.5% at all Disney resorts except the All-Stars, where it is 13%.
