Who's Voting out their Rep & Senator

I want Sen. Harkin out so bad, but unfortunately he is not up for re-election. Otherwise, Rep. Jim Leach will be re-elected. We do have a chance to get a Republican Governor and that would be current Rep. Jim Nussle.

Senator Rick Santorum (R) will be voted out and possibly Rep. Melissa Hart (R). Everyone's just tired of the spending with no results. They aren't happy about the illegal problem and the stalemate in Iraq.

Here in N.Y. I would love to see the door hit Pete King in the behind. He has been here since God made little green apples. Enough already. I will do my part to see that it happens. Hillary really doesn't have a viable opponent to even consider, plus she is doing a good enough job for New Yorkers, so I will vote for her. Governer's race is a moot point as the incumbent Pataki is leaving anyway.

I don't believe in career politicians, so I usually only vote for someone twice. I think 2 terms is enough for any elected office.

It'll be interesting to see. Watching the Casey/Santorum debates I thought Casey came off terrible. I happen to like Santorum, so maybe I was just biased. Between that race and the Rendell/Swan race it'll be a very interesting night for us in PA...I can't wait. I'm weird and love the excitement of watching the returns come in.

Jim Talent or 'no talent' as I call him just may lose here in Missouri. Boy, do I hope so. The Rep for this district is a knucklehead but she's pretty much a certainty (sigh)!

I say "throw the bums out".

I will be gladly voting M. DeWine out of office in the senate race here
in Ohio.

Rendell has it sewn up, and well, Santorum stole that money to pay for his kids' homeschooling and he's insulted working women and the USAir mechanics while siding with the USAir management who was still taking big bonuses. What do you like about Santorum, anyway? Is it because he's pro-life, because I don't see how that could possibly matter when the Republicans have had every opportunity to push the pro-life agenda but have done nothing.

I remember when DeWine couldn't buy his way into office. How did he get to be a Senator? Sherrod Brown seems so down to earth.

heres a fun site to check and see how the races are going, they take a bunch of poles and ave them togeather, I caution you, its done kind of fair but the man who runs this site is a Democrate and his projections are useually a LITTE BIT to blue. http://www.electoral-vote.com:2006/

I agree that Rendell has it sewn up. Not that I'd vote for him personally. Maybe I should say I can't stand Casey more than I like Santorum. LOL Having gone to school a few of his siblings it's sort of personal I think. And, you're right, I have a hard time voting for a candidate that is not pro life. And, you're right...it should have been pushed harder. No question. I didn't really answer your question, did I?

Not really. And pro-life hasn't been pushed at all. If your candidate was truly pro-life, shouldn't he have been pushing it every day? As a Catholic, I'm tired of people paying lip service to the pro-life issue to get elected and doing nothing. It's not right. Just so you're thinking about the issues and not just voting from the gut, that's fine with me.

I will be voting against Ed Rendell for PA governor. I used to vote for him, but since he pretty much supports illegal immigration now, I think he need to go.

Congressman Kurt Weldon needs to go.... he has had 10 terms in that office already.... way too long!

I'm re-electing my congressman as I think he's doing a fine job, and he wrote me a letter a few months ago after I wrote him one expressing my outrage against the Federal Marriage Amendment.

As for Senator, I'm still undecided but I think I'll be re-electing the Democrat, as I want to show the Republicans the door to power of Congress.

While I support Hazelton's mayor, I agree with Rendell's assessment that the Republican's recent lip service paid to stopping illegal immigration is mainly for show. It is mainly a federal issue, and to date, nothing has actually been done to address the problem at a federal level, just a lot of talking.

Rendell's kept my taxes low and not run a deficit without creating scandals. That's a better record than governors of surrounding states. The worst I can say about the guy is his chauffer has a lead foot.

I'll be doing the same. I had a very bad experience with him last year in Washington. We took 90 of our students on a two day trip. We were walking and saw him in front of the Senate building. One of the teachers yelled something like "Hey kids, there's Senator Dewine. He's one of your senators." He turned and looked at us and then walked back in the building. It's not like he didn't see us, we were impossible to miss. Ninety eighth graders and fifteen chaparones all wearing bright neon green t-shirts. I guess he couldn't be bothered to stop and talk to some inner city eighth graders.

I do have to say that our Rep. Stephanie Tubbs Jones was awsome. She shook each kids hand and took time to talk to them and take lots of pictures.

:rotfl2: That is so true. My nickname is speed demon and he has passed me on the turnpike.

Pop Daddy's site has my district getting a new congressman, which I'll believe when I see it. The Republican incumbent is an heir to the Cannon Mills fortune and has pretty much endless money. He also has voted with Bush almost 100% of the time, which may be a liability even here. We're registered undecided and have received piles of mail from him. The challenger worked in a textile mill for almost 20 years before going back to school and becoming a teacher -- at one point he had less than $100 in his campaign account. He's had an interesting grassroots campaign, though, with a LOT of phone calls on issues pretty much since the primary. The district is seriously gerrymandered -- current guy lives about a mile from me when he's not in Washington and the other one's probably three hours away.

North Carolina doesn't have senate or governor races this year. We've got important local stuff, though.
