That's the best you can do? Are you intentionally obtuse or are several of the posters here just right about your IQ?

Why do facts bother you? I simply said "I never said 100". That is it.

I didn't see where anyone was commenting about my IQ.

Are you a liberal?

Yes 3rd Corithians 128 clearly states: "though shalt not go to Walt Disney World, Universal is just fine, but not Disney World." I think this was just because at the time Disney sold pork and Universal didn't. We don't think its applicable to today's modern world though, so this passage gets largely ignored.

and let's not forget the whole "gay thing" - maybe its that!? :confused3

Once again

1.) The backend of your car - is yours to do with as you please, but the sky belongs to all of us.
2.) It's a LOT easier to ignore bumber stickers in two inch letters vs fifty foot ones in the sky.

Wow. 15 pages about a guy who skywrites???

So what do you do whenever you are behind a car that has bumper stickers with religious references??? Does that REALLY cause you any harm? This is exactly the same premise of the skywriter. For those of you who think he should go away - you are far outnumbered - there are obviously a lot more people who think he's doing a positive thing. When you go to WDW and see letters in the sky, just LOOK THE OTHER WAY. Those of you who are offended are getting a little too worked up over it. You're in WDW for pete's sake, it's not like there's other stuff to look at on THE GROUND LEVEL!!!

I agree that the guys site is a little on the "crazy" side, but hey, why not? I am a Christian, I don't practice it in everyday life as I should. But I am living better than I ever have before, thanks to God. I feel like I'm a better person, mom and wife because of him!

I think most of the people (including me) on this thread agree with you but we have also seen the numerous thread about things like bumper stickers when they have something on them that others find offensive.

Don't forget, we're not looking to have the guy arrested, just giving out opinion about it just like other people were when they complained in other threads about bumper stickers and t-shirts.

If you are going to defend this action under freedom of speech or even tolerance and accpetance of other people's beliefs then you have to accpet it in ANY form it may take. This includes sky writing messages you may not agree with or find offensive. If you draw the line at something you agree with as being okay but deny the same right to others then you are being hypocritical and unjust. So messages such that include other religions, potical opinions, advertising, or any thing else for that matter must also be fully accepted and tolerated under this view.

What if those messages read: "Jesus is a lie," "Give gays rights," or "Eat McDonalds." Would these messages also be alright? Or would the same people defending the right to sky write Christan messages take issue with them? If it can honestly be said that no matter what the message was it would be tolerated and accepted then I will take that as a strongly supported opinion.

I disagree with the "nutjob's" skywriting because there are many things I don't want written above my head, particularly while I'm on vacation. Agreeing or disagreeing with what he actually wrote is not the issue in my mind.

I have lived here 2 years, go to the parks and resorts about 3 times a week and have NEVER seen this guy. :lmao:

Facts don't bother me - the fact that you glibly spread misinformation and don't adress it when you know you have nothing to say so ignore everything else except one piddly lilttle number issue does. Why do you avoid the more important facts?

I read several posts to the effect of "Looks like Yac has hit a whole new level of stupidity" and a couple of other lines in that vein.

And whether I'm liberl or not has nothing to do with the price of tea in China -but nice attempt at redirection.

I had no problem with a mosque, but if a person cannot write in the sky a message about Jesus, then a mosque which sends out a message about the muslim religion should be removed as well. That is only fair isn't it?
Obviously you have a problem with the minaret in the World Showcase; you brought it up and are continually railing against an entire religion. On this very thread we have another fine example of how people are wrong when they paint an entire group (Republicans) with the same brush. You do no better, and your ignorance and blindness is evident. I really hope you can change. I think most people who visit Epcot have no idea what the tower in Morocco means. And if the skywriter were simply advertising for a local restaurant, most here would be annoyed.

Put it this way: I (and most WDW visitors) don't go on vacation to be preached to or reminded of the outside world. I go to escape. The mere presence of replicas of religious buildings like in China, Norway, Italy, Morocco and Japan aren't part of the category of proselytizing. I would go to those countries and expect religious buildings. The skywriting is akin to someone in the park personally pushing their agenda on me, or ruining my photo of the landscape like the crane in MK for the castle refurbishing. I find it annoying. Not offensive, annoying.

Epcot is always out. You have seen the posts from people about how aweful it is that different attractions like The Universe of Energy don't include the Christian "truth" right?
My husband is one of those annoyed by Ellen's Energy Adventure. He is unable to reconcile science and christianity. He thinks science is a religion and that big bang and evolution should not be taught in schools. This is the one thing we argue about (never mean spirited of course). I think of science as a process, something constantly evolving and changing with new discoveries, I am kind of bummed that Pluto is no longer a planet. I'm not at all imtimidated by science. A true scientist will admit when science itself can prove him wrong. I don't pretend to have all of the answers. But I do believe that we are more than just cosmic goo and chance.

Um woah - I really, really wish people would read that whole post!
As I have said, over and over, and over again - I was putting forth the things I had learned from the far left... admitting that I might be more then a little misinformed, and asking for facts straight from the Elephant's mouth so to speak. How was I wrong in trying to get educated?

Something to think about - Charles Darwin was at one point part of the Minestry. He was in fact a devout Christan, and outlined how his theory should further strengthen faith in God - not weaken it.

Not at all wrong, I was making the analogy that yaksack is misinformed, but on another topic. Unfortunately, unlike you, he isn't processing the information available to him. He's being stubborn and resisting education. :)

He made the statement about a post painting Republicans with on brush being an example of how wrong it is to do that to any group. That was my post. I tried over and over with that post to explain that these were the myths I had been taught and were trying to dispel but it seems like a lot of folks didn't want to see that part. :guilty:

Sorry - posted this before I read the post right above it. So glad you're not miffed cuz I think I really respect your opinion. :sunny:

I do not have a problem with a religion of peace.

You are an ignorant fool.

Christianity is a religion of peace? Only if you convieniently forget the Crusades, the Holy Wars, the forcible explusion, conversion and/or torture and murder of Jews and Muslims in most of Europe...

jesus preached a message of peace and tolerance- one that most of his 'followers' forget.

How true. Science is perpetually asking questions, religion claims to have all the answers, at least concerning the "Big Questions". The older a religion is, the more patently ridiculous its answers tend to be. For me, when the belief system I was handed (Methodist) collided with a body of proven facts (science), it was no contest. Now I get to sleep in on Sundays.
