I don't know if it's just my family or what....but I think I am actually more excited and just plain over the top about our upcoming trip than my kids are! They are boys (which may explain things...they don't get all worked up about stuff!) and they are 4 & 8....and are both celebrating birthdays when we get to Disney. You'd think they'd be jumping up and down when I announce each day how many days are left till we go ...

But I seem to be the only one who is jumping right now! :bounce: LOL

Anyone else???

ME!!!! Oh and I guess DD... Dh just laughs at me!:D

I am way more excited than the rest of my family. It seems that the trip is all I talk about and everyone else is like whatever... Thank god for these boards as they keep my enthusiasm up. When we get a bit closer I will have my boys 8 and 6 make a paper chain with a link for each day. They usually get excited about ripping a link off each day and as the chain gets smaller they get more excited.

This board lets me know it's o.k. to be me! (meaning totally obsessed with WDW) I keep telling my friends and family that I am not alone and there are others out there too, but they just get that blank look and kind of smile at me. I am of course the most excited of all of us, but my 3yo comes in a close 2nd.

Me too, actually I was getting ready to make a post about this! :p On this trip it will be me, DH, DS (age 9) my sister and her two girls, ages 5 & 8, and my Mom, we will be there in early May. I'm SO excited that it seems like the days are just crawling by! The kids are somewhat excited, but if my parents had taken me out of school to go to WDW I would have thought I had died and went to heaven! Of course when I was a kid we NEVER took a vacation--maybe that is why I get so excited now about vacations and especially WDW!!!! That happiest place in the world! :)

Me too. I'm super excited. I haven't been to disney in over 3 years. I've been planning my son's 1st trip to Disney ever since he was born. I'm going to have a hard time not buying everything I see. :tilt:

We share something in common....my parents never took me on a vacation when I was a kid either! I mean we went NOWHERE!! A day trip here or there, but that was it. I think the first time I actually stayed in a hotel was on a 7th grade band trip! Maybe that is why I am so crazy excited about going away! I LOVE traveling, 'specially to Disney! My kids have always known vacations (this is my 8 y/o's 3rd time and 4 y/o's 2nd time to Disney) so maybe it isn't quite as "special" to them as it is to me??

My Dh also vacationed quite a bit as a kid....his parents took them all kinds of places. He's excited about this trip, but I've done all the planning, ressies, ps's, itinerary, etc. So he's definately not as nutty about it as I am!

I confess, it's me! Dd can't wait to go either and ds is too young to understand, we'll just show up there one day and it will hit him. Me, well, I'm the planner and the only this that I talk about all the time is Disney. Dh will listen to me and be my sounding board, but I am the fanatic.....

My DH also did lots of family vacations as a kid. My mom took me on one special trip to Disney when I was 10 but that was it. For a few years, I didn't know how to relax on vacation and wanted to do everything...DH saw this as a major character flaw!! I'm getting a little better these days cause I know we will go on lots of vacations!

To answer the OP's question, the girls of the house get the most excited here...me and my 6 year old!!

Me me me me and me!

dh thinks i'm nuts for all the reading and planning and my little guy is only 2 and has no idea about what is going on!

I'm having a ball with all the planning! I dont' think i've ever been this excited about a vacation!

Disney just has something magical!

I always am the most excited. We took DS for his birthday 3 years in a row. The 3rd time he was like "Can I have a birthday party instead" This time DS doesn't know, it is a surprise and DD is too young to figure it out. DH is so stressed about getting work done before we leave that he isn't excited either.

We aren't even telling our kids until we pull up to the resort. Still, the excitement must be oozing out of my pores because my house is all abuzz. My husband says I'm nuts. Maybe...But I'm one very prepared nut....

Me Too!!!! I'm planning a trip for 20 people in August, so it's all I talk about! They tell me I'm driving them crazy with all of my questions and info, but they'll understand once they get there I hope:rolleyes: My dd (4) who has already been twice, is just as excited as I am. We've already made our paper chain (and what a monster it is too, with 116 links still on it, started at 137, lol) and she asks every day how many days we have left! We bought AP's this time as we already have them for US/IOA, and are going again for dd's birthday in Dec.!

I am :Pinkbounc :Pinkbounc . My Dh thinks I have gone bananas!

Only 33 more days and we'll be there:Pinkbounc :Pinkbounc :hyper:

I got my hotel voucher today and you should have seen how excited I was to open the envelope:hyper:

I would have to say it is a toss up between my mom and I. My kids (8 & 3) come in a close third. My DH thinks we have all lost our minds with all our planning!!

Definitely me, me , and me!!! My girls are also really excited. This will be my first trip to Disney (my parents also never took me on vacation). I have been dying to go to Disney. What better way to experience Disney for the first time than with your kids.

My DGD is getting into it now. She is 4 and this will be her first trip to WDW. She comes up to me and says "what you want to talk about, Disney" She realizes that is what is always on my mind!! I have her clothes packed in the zip-lock bags already!! :goodvibes

ME......My kids are fortunate enough to go all the time and now they just roll there eyes when i start talking about the next trip..

"I" am the most excited...but that's only because we haven't told the kids yet!!! We are telling them this Sunday (Easter). I can't wait! My 9 1/2 yr old has been talking about Disney constantly...so I know he will be elated! My DH still thinks I will be the most excited, even after we tell the kids!!:p
