The
D23 Expo was amazing! We got to meet up with Disney Imagineers, entertainers and a few Disney Legends as well! The events, panels and show floor was fun. The Disney Archives brought costumes, props and artwork and collectibles, from movies and tv shows such as POTC, Mickey Mouse Club, Rocketeer, Tron and One Hundred and One Dalmatians.
WDI had a beautiful presentation, "Carousel of Projects" which showcased a full scale model of the new FL at WDW, ride vehicles for Cars Land, info about
DCL, DVC, Aulani, and a model of the new park being built in Shanghai, China. ABC, Disney Channel,
Disney Store, Hallmark, Microsoft and other companies were there to show their "Disney" licensed products.
Kinect Disenyland Adventures for the Xbox360 is a mind blowing game! WOW! It takes you on a virtual tour of
Disneyland and it's rides while interacting with you.

They had a huge collector's forum and we were able to pick up some neat stuff for our collections and autographs too. On the last day, about an hour before the show closed, Celebrations magazine sent out a tweet for a prize for the first person who visits their booth and shows them the tweet. I was the first one there! I won the complete collection of their magazines to date, plus a few of Lou Mongello's park audio guides CDs.
But the best part of D23 was seeing all my friends that came from as far as New York, New Hampshire and Orlando. We went to Trader Sam's on Friday night for a podcasting meet up and then on Saturday night we went to DL together. It was a blast!
I took a bunch of pictures and will post up a link later on. It sure was a good idea to stay overnight down there too. This really pooped me out! LOL!
There will be a D23 Expo in 2013! So if you are thinking about coming to DL and want to do the event as well, it would be a win-win for you. This was "Disney" geek heaven!
