Who's going to DVC this summer?

sitchu2,
I kinda of had the same problem and this is what happened to me. I don't know if it will work for you, but you might want to give it a try. We had a 2bd ressie at BWV from June 2-10. I wanted to add on the nights of the 10-12 so I called MS and they said the 11th was available but the 10th was not, so I waitlisted for the 10th. The next day I was on the Internet and decided to check out the cash price of other hotels at WDW for those 2 days. I was suprised to find that I could book a 2bd at BWV for the 10-12th. I called MS back and asked why I could book it on the Internet through CRO but not through DVC. Heather did some looking for me and found that there was inventory but I could not book it on points or with a member cash discount, but I could book it straight up. I did this through her instead of CRO so the ressies will be linked. I am still on the waitlist for points for the 10th and if they come through, I can cancel the cash ressie.

June 1-5 BCV
June 6-7 Swan (or Poly if our CM friend can get a good discount)
June 8-12 BWV (Home :) )

We will be at OKW in the first 2 weeks of August...its really not not to bad, lots of mid day swimming and hanging out in cool places, with lots of AC
but with kids in school what can you do.

same as always when you have a teacher wife, and dont want the mob during april vacation.....third week in august....just keep telling yourself "its not that hot....Its been hotter"!!!

We will be arriving at BCV May 27 - June 12. I am unable to go other than school breaks. And with teenagers, other holiday times interfer with tests or activities.

Last year at the end of June we had major rain. We are hoping for more quick showers and less torrential rains.

Two years ago during Easter we had summer weather -- 95 degrees and 95% humidity.

I agree anyday at Disney is better than a day at work.

We'll be at OKW from June 15th through June 27th. We are usually "home" the last week in July, but our kids' schedules no longer permit the traditional WDW vacation. For the first 5 years that we were DVC members, we always stayed at OKW the same two weekends. A traditional timeshare would have suited us just fine. This will be the first vacation that we've made use of the flexibility of the points system in making ressies at our home resort.

Hope to see some DISers around and about during June.

We'll be there. Me, DH, DS, DD, two BILs, two DBs, my mom and my dad. All ten of us in late August.
Can't wait!!!! We bought sight unseen.:p

We are going August 17-24, our FIRST summer trip! We usually have a long time between trips, March to November, and it's really hard to go that long between WDW trips! This year we decided, even if all we do is swim, we're going (that's what is so great about DVC - we don't have to even go to the parks, cause we'll be back!)! It's seems like a nice way to end the summer.

Hi Everyone - I'm new to this forum and am enjoying it immensely!

I'm a DVC member at OKW (since 1992). We usually go at least once a year, usually twice if possible. I live in southeastern PA and we always fly to Orlando.

I'll be heading to OKW in mid-June, although usually I try to schedule the trips for either May or September. We have school issues now, so June was the only month that really worked for us this year.

I've been to WDW in all of the summer months. June weather is not too bad, although I would think twice before going again in July or August because I find the humidity too overwhelming.

We are staying in a two-bedroom this time, although we've stayed in all configurations. The two-bedroom is our favorite and works the best for my group. We'll be staying a few nights at BCV because we could not book a whole week at OKW (my fault, I waited too long to book the trip).

I really enjoy OKW, but dearly miss the "free" passes!

we'll be there! August 17-21 at OKW. Me, my sister and two darling nieces. The girls are 5 and 1-1/2 and its their first time. I wish we could go when it's a bit cooler - darn that use year thingy! We can't go before August 1 and I needed to wait until the seasons changed so we could go for the lowest points possible and that's the third week in August. We'll have a great trip no matter what. Plenty of pool time and ac for my girls. It will be hot as heck here in Cleveland too in August so I'd rather be hot at Disney than hot here in Cleveland at work!

DD, age 18, and her two best friends, me and my best friend will be at BCV June 8-13 celebrating their high school graduation + a family vacation 7/27-8/1 at BCV if DD decides to accept college basketball scholarship instead of volleyball scholarship. Otherwise it will be just DH and I in July.

That is what we were thinking, we will be there Aug 13 to 22, studio at OKW (all the points we could possibilty borrow that year!) Our past trips have always been winter, and less busy seasons, I am a little concerned about the crowds. We have done Disney so many times, if the wait if over an hour, we won't do an atraction, so we may also be spending a lot of time at the pool. This is an "extra trip" so we got more miles out of our new AP. We said in the past we would never go in summer, too hot. But then again we also said we wouldn't take a baby. If all goes well our DD will have been to WDW 4 times before she turns 3! Never say never!!!!!

My waitlist came through! We'll be at the Villas at the Wilderness Lodge for 4 nights then in a 1-bedroom at OKW for 3 more. Then off to Hilton Head! See you June 22-29!

DH, DD 12 and I will be at OKW May 25-30, then BCV June 1-7. Then in August, it will be DD 12 and I at BCV Aug. 3-9. DD will be looking for a swimming pal at SAB when we are at BCV. Anyone? Diana

With all of us Michiganians leaving town at the same time, who' s staying behind to turn out the lights?? I will be at BWV in a 1 bedroom preferred view from June 27-July 7. We go every year at this time, just because of the fantastic fireworks display. I can't wait!! Next two trips are at Christmas and Easter--I'm a teacher, so we have to go when everyone else does

We will be at AKL July 22-25, then checking into VWL from July 25-31. Can't wait to stay at AKL!
