Would like to start up a chat session or keep in touch up to our embarktation date. Went on the 4-Day Bahama Cruise which I loved, but it wasn't long eough. This was my 1st Cruise and as you can see it won't be my last. When we booked our cruise we were booked on the Eastern, but with the overwhelming response, Disney added the Western and switched us to it. I was told the Western Caribbean is better, so I accepted the change. hope to hear from you soon.

We have 3 families going on the 7/6, Western cruise! We have 6 adults, and 5 kids ranging in ages from 13 - 6 (we will celebrate the 6 year olds birthday on the cruise). We booked back in October of 2000 which seemed endlessly away at the time, but it seems to be coming very quickly now. Can't wait!!!

We have 4 adults and 3 children (7-12). Have you ever taken a Disney cruise before? This will be our 2nd. We booked in Dec. of 2000 and yes it seemed lite years away, but only 4 months to go.

This is the first Disney Cruise for all of us. We actually took a 4 day cruise on the Big Red Boat 2 years ago right before it folded and had a really great time. We went with a school trip so there were a lot of friends and kids aboard and even though it wasn't top of the line, I think a vacation is what you make out of it and everything worked out very well. The 4 day is what convinced us to do the 7 day Disney. Four days just wasn't enough. We are really looking forward to the Western - none of us have ever been to any of the ports of call.

Our family will be on the July 6th Western Cruise as well. That's 2 adults and two kids, ages 13 and 18.

While it's the kids first cruise my DW and I went on a Carnival cruise 15 years ago. God, I feel old!

Hi, all,

I have personally emailed two of you I think after seeing your id's on the cruise list. We will be on our first cruise, DH, DW, and 15 year old DS. We can't wait for July. We will be at the Wilderness Lodge Villas prior to the crusie and over the 4th of July. We have been to WDW several times and love to go back each time. We belong to the Disney Vac. Club and try to do something Disney every two to three years. It may become more frequent after this cruise. Crusing sounds habit forming. We may have to purchase more points if we like it as much as everyone else. Look forward to hearing from you.

You guys are lucky - you'll be getting on the ship the day I get off! ;) Have fun! :D

We'll be staying at the CBR from July 3rd-July6th. Danny, Janice and our 2 boys Anthony, Jake. This is our 2nd cruise and it won't be our last. :earsboy: :earsgirl: :earsboy: :earsboy:

Welcome Home, Mogoofy. We're DVC members, too. Joined in 1995 and seem to get down to Orlando every year to 18 months. Since the cruise takes soooooooooo many points, it will be almost 2 yers since we were down last time.

We're driving down and staying a night at Hilton Head on July 4th. (We own Disney at both HH and OKW.) The kids want to see the fireworks at Hilton Head. The night before the cruise, we're staying at the Radisson @ the Port. Got a great deal on a 2-room suite ($89) and we get to park the car for free and take the shuttle over to the Magic.

After the cruise, we're going to spend 5 days in the Orlando area (3 at OKW). We're hoping to catch an Atlanta Braves game on the way home.

Goofy41 - Keansburg, not too far from us. Are you driving or flying?

Hope to meet you all on July 6th!
:smooth:

We will be driving. It willbe us 4 and my mother, sister and nephew. Yes hoping to meet you all as well. Where in Jersey?

We live in Washington Township, Gloucester County.

We typically travel at night, leaving around midnight. That way the kids sleep for the first 7-8 hours of the drive. Then we stop for breakfast in NC. Only 8 hours to go and the kids don't complain as much on the drive. Of course, thy have their portable CD players and Gameboys to keep them busy.

Well were getting closer to our sail date. Is anyone else getting excited. Have anymore teenagers joined us. My 15 year old DS is wondering who will be there for him to hang out with. Have you decided what excursions you are taking? We are staying at the New Beach Club Villas prior to the cruise from the 3 to 6. We like the stormalong bay pool at the Y&B. We know there probably won't be any pool hoping so moved our reserva. there to eliminate that problem. Anyone else going down before and spending time at the world. What time is everyone going to try and be at the port to check in? Well better go. DH wants me to go to the lumber yard with him. "We're" building a pole barn!

Well have any of you on the July 6th Western Cruise decided what excursions, if any you are doing. I booked ours today!! :bounce: We can't wait. We are doing the Catamaran racing at Key West, Shipwreck and reef snorkeling at Grand Cayman, and Scuba Diving at Cozumel. DS is doing the Fury Catamaran Teen Cruise at Cozumel and Wild Side at Castaway Cay. Can't wait to hear from the 05/11 cruisers. Family three houses up the road are going on that cruise. Hope we don't have too much planned. I want to do a little shopping. :smooth:

See you in the sun.

Hi, July 6th Cruisers!

Our family of 4 has booked the Old Town Trolley in Key West (need to leave time for shopping), the Grand Cayman Island Tour, and the Xcaret Eco Archeological Park in Cozumel.

Do you believe just 58 days to go? Can't wait to get the cruise documents.

What are others doing for the excursions?
:D

I just called today also and booked the banana boat ride - that is the one thing my kids were crazy about doing - I think I am going to wait on feedback from the 5/11 cruisers before I decide on any island excursions. 60 days and counting!!!!

I have never did any type of cruise or land excursion. What is the way , should we reserve excursions now or wait until we're on board or call the island itself. Please all help is needed.:earsboy: :earsgirl: :earsboy: :earsboy: :earsboy:

As I have been told, some excursions fill up fairly quickly. So if there is one you really want to do I would book now.

:smooth:

My 15yo daugher, my mother and I will be traveling on the 6th of July cruise as well. It is a retirement gift for my mom. We have signed up for the conch train in Key West, my daughter and I are going to do the Tulim Ruins and we have all signed up for the Grand Cayman Island tour.

My daughter and I traveled on the Magic last year and had a ball and are looking forward to this years cruise.
