Who's going in October and what are you planning?

We're going in October!! What am I doing? Turning 50!!

Aside from that, we're staying 7 nights at AKL (2 nights concierge and doing the Sunrise Safari, the rest at Kidani Village), and then 4 nights at BLT!! Had to try out both new resorts. We'll be enjoying a lot of the F&W Festival, and plan to spend a day at "that other theme park" to see their new 'World'. Really hoping to make this a relaxing trip.

That's funny, because there are 6 of us best friends going in October, staying in a Tree House Villa at SSR and we are all turning 50!! Watch out WORLD, here we come None of us are drinkers, but we take full advantage of the FOOD part! I just love Disney in October! Have a great birthday!

Of course we will be doing all the favorites (except IASW).. Pirates, Peter Pan, Haunted Mansion, Presidents, SOARIN', Test Track.. We tend to not make ADRs, just go with the flow.

Here's hoping everyone has the trip of a lifetime!!

We will be going 10/11--10/16, haven't been in over a year . Can any October regular tell me what to expect with the weather?

We are doing nothing special except RELAX and enjoy each other. Some friends will be down there at the same time, so may hook up for a drink every once in awhile.

The last 3 times that I have gone in October, the weather was warm. Daytime in the high 80's (humidity was kind of high) and evenings in the 70's. We lucked out with no rain so that was a wonderful surprise!

This will be our 2nd trip in October DD is glad because we take her out of school (long story on that one....let's just say it is 1 of the few times during the year we can be sure that we can all go! ). We will be in a GV at SSR Oct 18 - 23. My DSis and her family will be with us and it is their 1st October trip Hitting all of the usual spots and doing the haunted carriage ride at FW...if you haven't done that you have to give it a try!

I must have missed that week because the week I was there it wasn't cold at all. I'm trying to think when that was....ok; checked my Outlook. LOL...I was there October 6th through the 10th. Now this year it's October 10th through the 16th; slightly longer trip!! Yeah!!!

DH and I will be staying at Kidani 10/30-11/3. We'll be going to MNSSHP on 10/31. We are also doing the Keys to the Kingdom tour which we've never done before. We're going to be dining at Hollywood Brown Derby for the first time as well. So excited!

We'll be down in Oct, but will probably be off site. We've done F&W and I would much rather give my money to USO for Halloween Horror Nights, as it is one of the best things we've experienced in Orlando.

We're coming down for a F & W weekend Oct 22 to 25, and that's about all we're planning to do -- eat and drink. We're staying 1 night at Caribbean Beach (first time) and plan just to enjoy the resort, and then we're at BLT in a standard view studio.

In past years, we've gone to the Party for the Senses on Saturday night, and probably will again this year, unless the prices increase. We may spend more time at the Food Booths this year.

We will be arriving in Disney, at BLT on the 20th! We are excited! We will be going to the halloween party on the 21st, then Chef Mickeys and Yachtsman on my bday, the 22nd! We plan on partying the night away, then on Saturday, park hopping and spending the entire night, until 2am in the MK, then flying out Sunday!!!

We'll be there from 10/4-10/15 at BLT and Kidani. I'm excited as this will be our first trip home since buying in 2008. We have a 1brd BLT MK view and a 2brd Kidani savanna view all lined up. I am on the wait list for a 2 bed MK view for BLT for 10/2-10/5 but 10/We already have tickets for MNSSHP and am looking to add the haunted carriage rides on when they finally come up. We have all out ADR's in a row and got everyone we wanted...even the Fantasmic package at like 4:30pm...awesome.

We too have to think of costumes! Can't get too crazy with them, considering the heat. Maybe this year wont be so hot.

My friend's sister will be down there for the college intern program so she wanted to try to make a trip down there in Oct. I volunteered to be her personal tour guide since I'm a big planner and she hasn't been there for 10+ years. Hoping to try a lot of tasty samplings at F&W and maybe MNSSHP

We are in VB from Oct 16 - Oct 20, and AKV Oct 20 - Oct 30.
We are doing two MNSSHP, PFTS, and lots of F&W in general.

My trip overlaps into October so I guess it counts for this thread

I'm heading to the world from Sept 18-Oct 5 for our "Epic Disney Wedding Trip" as we'e nicknamed it. It looks something like this:
-Sept 18-25 (2 studios - SV) at BWV for myself, my fiance, and my in-laws
-Me and my bridal party are moving out to a 1 brdm at BWV for the night of the 21st to have a sanctuary to get ready for the wedding
-Sept 25 Poly
-Sept 26-30 Cruising on the Wonder
-Sept 30-Oct 3 Kidani Villiage
-Oct 3-5 Jambo House.

Whew - I'm going to need a vacation from that vacation!

A few things we're doing for the first time (besides of course the obvious, which is getting married at Disney!!):
-doing the Deluxe Dining Plan for the 3 nights at Kidani so we can do all kinds of Signature restaurants
-Going on the 3 hour Safari that includes dinner at Jiko (I'm planning to try to keep this a secret from my hubby to be - although I SUCK at secrets so we'll see)
-I think we're going to parasail at Castaway Cay - if budget allows it
-Sea Raycers!

DH and I are going the 14th-23rd and so far we have tickets for 3 nights of MNSSHP, we are booked for a Haunted Carriage Ride over at FW, we have only minimal ADRs because we are planning on taking full advantage of eating and drinking around the world. We are not so patiently waiting for F&W schedule to be released so that we can decide which "extras" we'd like to do. Also, our friends will be at the world the 16th-23rd and we have some plans with them. Now my mom and her DBF are thinking of coming for a long weekend (Mom's B-day is 16th) so that will be fun. Before anyone , DH and I have taken a bit of a break (14 months between trips) and we've been saving like crazy. We haven't "blown the bank" for quite a few years and decided we would on this trip!

Call right away. The Haunted Carriage Rides are being sold as we speak. I booked 2 weeks ago and while I got the evening I wanted, didn't get the time I wanted.

I'm thinking of taking a quick trip down (nothing booked yet) for a 3 or 4 day weekend. Will probably spend a day or 2 at Harry Potter (my daughter is dying to go) and then 1 day at Epcot. Hmmmm, now that I am typing this I'd better get on the phone this weekend to make some plans!
