Who's Going in October 2005??!!*MNSSHP dates & info*

Sorry! I was not very specific. AP rates came out today. (Check mousesavers again. I checked this morning and it wasn't there, but it is now.) And tomorrow a package deal comes out. 3 to 10 night stays and tickets required and then you get the dining free.

We are staying concierge, but will still save about $400 over the AAA rate (and the AP rate wasn't going to save us much more) we had booked and based on the dining we were planning on doing. Now I won't have to worry about sharing a meal with DD14 or DH, we can all get what we want *and* I'll get desert and so will the kids. I can't tell you how excited I am about this! As we are a family of five this works out very well for us. :cool1:

Thanks Lori. I did look back and I found it. We aren't going until the end of the month but I wanted to be "in the know". :teeth:

MommyBoo-
You will have to change where I am staying. I was hoping for FQ but there were no AP rates left by the time I called, :( either that or there aren't any avail period. So I will be 10/1 - 10/8 at Coronado.

I will be calling everyday to see if something opens up so hopefully you will have to change me back.

YAHOO ... could I be so lucky as to take advantage of the offer that is being announced tomorrow about free dining??? I plan to be one of the nutzos and call in at 7:00 a.m. EST just because it will kill me not knowing and having to wait until I get a break at lunchtime to call.

Hmmm ... we arrive on 10/1 and check out on 10/8. The offer is good until 10/4 .. wonder if that disqualifies us .. the curiousity is going to kill me.

You'll be great. That would do it as long as you are willing to purchase at least a one day ticket. I do so love the way Disney does the hotels, by charging you the same rate for your whole stay as when you check in!

We have 7 day PH tickets purchased so looks like I will have to make a new reservation and cancel the existing reservation. zzzzzzzzz .. nothing like spending 45+ minutes on the phone. But .. if it saves me $500 then it's definitely worth it.

We just purchased a single day ticket to call it a package. We have leftover tickets and were only planning on purchasing 1 ticket (each) anyway, so it worked out for us.

"Tikki,
I thought of requesting that area if 14 didn't work out. I was thinking of 37 b/c it looks like it's close to the bus stop and the parking lot. (We are driving, so we may drive to the park and take the bus, both) I heard that Bldg 14 gets very busy b/c of its location. However, when I made reservations for POR, I booked with a AAA discount and it gave us a waterview. Don't think that building 37 has a water view. I almost think I'd give that up as long as we're close to our transportation.
Lori P."

This is just my person opinion. I went for the "water" view our first trip. What a joke. It just means that you'll at the least have a glimps of the quiet pool. It cost more too. I don't think it's worth the extra $. If anyone else has an opinion, let us know!

Now should I pay $50 for costume??? Long dress??? heat of October?? I'm thinking of waiting till they come out here and trying them on!"

I'd say no way. I'm cheap though! October weather is always up in the air too. Never know if it's going to be hot or cool in the evening. Maybe a short sleeve dress would be better. I'd get a cheapy costume at Walmart if I were you. Unless, of course, you were going to were it again. I'm leaning more toward the Halloween t-shirt idea. (yeah, I know, party pooper!) :p

Sorry MommyBoo! but I have another change. With the new free dining promotion, we are back to staying at POR 10/1- 10/7.

Well, guys, I have some news. Len Testa has updated his Best Days calandar for for the year. Looks like the numbers went up again! :worried: Might adjust your planning. YUCK!

Sorry...no not a dumb question-

Len Testa is one of the writers for the Unofficial Guide to Walt Disney World. He's awsome at helping with Disney planning.

It's a list of what days it is better to go to certain parks during the year. They also provide touring plans to help with the lines.

Me, I am going Oct 2-8 or maybe the 9th at Pop (booked till the 10th but unless I do real well on ebay will have to cut back a few days)
There will be four of us, Me, DH, DS 8, DD 7

Hi! We are changing our dates to take advantage of the FREE dining!! :cool1:

Our new dates are October 1- October 8 at Pop. Still no plans to do MNSSHP.

I thought this would be a good first post!

We are going October 15-23 and staying off-site. We already have our tix to MNSSHP and we are bringing a friend and her DD who have never been to the World. (we've been about a dozen times)

We are really looking forward to the F&WF. I do have a question: if you were going to choose one F&W special event, what would it be?

Looking forward to getting to know you!

Michele

I just finalized my dates (meaning actually booked!) and I'm headed down Sept 24-Oct 6. I'm doing MNSSHP on Sept 30 and Oct 2. I will be at CBR (Sept 24-29) and AKL (Sept 29-Oct 6)!

We like the Vertical Tastings. The IPO at BC are supposed to email the schedule and other important information as soon as they have it. I'll post what I get (if there's room) and that might help you make better plans.
