Who's Going in October 2005??!!*MNSSHP dates & info*

Mommyboo--I think I've changed my mind about my MNSSHP date. I think we're going to go on the 18th. Hopefully less busy that day, although from reading other threads, it looks like October will be hoppin' all month! Just 177 days!

We're going Oct 28 (DH's birthday) to Nov 3! I think we're going to stay at the WL.

Any thoughts on which MNSSHP would be better - Oct 30th or 31st?

It seems like forever - I can't wait to get there. I think DH will love WL, my son calls it the lincoln log hotel

We will be there the first week in October. It will be our first time doing MNSSHP and the FOOD & WINE festival. We are going to plan on splitting our stay between POFQ & WL depending on AP rates for that time.

angwill - We are coming from the Chicago area as well. We flew the last two times but will be driving this year. DH wants to see some of the stuff on the way down and neither one of us wants to be in an airplane with DD1.

DJBounce - welcome to October!! We're also going that week, and we'll be one of the many many people (at least Disers!) going to MNSSHP on Oct 4, unless I change my mind!! How old is your

angwill, we're also from the Chicago area, and I bought my tickets after watching them go up - I got ours at $150 roundtrip for the 3 of us... my tip is to check out the Transportation section here at the Dis, and download Southwest's program Ding.... lots of people are getting amazing deals thru Southwest!!

MommyBoo, I dont envy you!! Its a very special time tho!! My dd hated the car! It was always so stressful for all of us, she refused to sleep in the car, while my ds's still sleep in the car, give them 5 min, and they're snoozin!!

Now I have to tell y'all, I had a horrible nightmare last night. We went to WDW, and everything went wrong, the food, the crowds, everything... I'm still in a shock... my happy place had a nightmare!!

She was absolutely horrible on the plane ride in 2003; I was 6 1/2 months pregnant with her and she kicked from the time the plane started moving until it set down. She was like that on car rides too; anything more than 15 minutes and I was guarranteed to be nauseous from all the kicking. Car rides never put her to sleep after she was born either. She was just awful in the car until she got out of the carrier seat and into a bigger car seat. She was even better when she got to turn around and see the dvd player.

Now, she's pretty good most of the time and she'll fall asleep after about two hours in the van, unless she's really tired, then it's sooner. And between the DVDs, toys and frequent stops, I'm hoping this will be a good trip. We got a new van in August and we figure if we're going to drive, now would be a good time.

We are HOPING to be able to get back to the World in October for our anniversary. We would leave the little one at home! Not sure if we are going to have the means this year, though, since we just bought a house. Oh do I hope we can go. If we do, we are planning on going the October 5 - 10. Short trip, just long enough to enjoy a second honeymoon and the F&WF!!!

cant decide on MNSSHP, been before and those last two nights are so crowded, might go have a nice dinner in WS on the 31st.

We're going to try and go on thursday the 27th before we take our 29th Magic cruise. It will be our first time and since they don't do it at Disneyland it will be neat to have a new Disney Experience.

Well as I had posted before we were planning on going from October 2nd-October 7th.Well that has all changed.
I went to touringplans.com the other day to check out some of the UG updates.In the UG it had our dates listed as a crowd level of 2.Well in the updates they are all 3's and 5's.
I of course started looking for new dates.Before I had decided on October I had mentioned late Sept.I looked at Sept 18th-23rd(the week of my birthday).That week went from a crowd level of 2 to 1.So now we are going in Sept.
Im a lil bummed.I was still considering MNSSHP but that is out now.Oh well...at least my trip will be two weeks sooner
