Who's at SOG for marathon?

I went ahead and made ressie at SOG for the marathon this year! This will be my first time running at Disney and we can't wait! I was playing with the idea of staying at a different resort but unless an excellent AP rate comes out that beats the price of SOG (plus transportation to and from the resort from MCO), this is where we will stay. Does SOG accomodate runners for the marathon as far as transporation is concerned? if not I guess we can walk to the POLY. Nice warm up before the 1/2 marathon!

Do a search for SOG or Shades of Green and you'll find a lot of good info.

We're staying there next year, and did this year. They do provide buses during certain time periods, but because you're north of Epcot and everyone and their mama drives in from the south and east, it's actually very easy and traffic free to access the site on marathon morning by car (if you have one). Think we set our alarms for 4:30 and were in the corrals by 5:30. Monorails later on for spectators and buses if you're an early riser are definitely an option however.

We also have a ressie for SOG, but like you, if a great code comes out we may switch to a moderate. We've ended up doing that our last 3 trips. When I looked around these boards a few months ago there seemed to be plenty of transportation options for race day.
