Whole Wheat Bread
2 ½ cups. Warm water
2 TBsp. Yeast
3 TBsp vegetable oil
4 TBsp honey or molasses
5 ½ - 6 cups whole wheat flour
1 ½ tsps salt
Dissolve yeast in the water, add oil and honey.
Mix flour and salt. Add the liquids.
Mix well with hands, adding a little more flour if sticky.
Cover and let rise in and an oiled bowl. About 1 ½ hours.
Punch down.
Shape into 2 loaves and place in oiled loaf pans.
Allow to rise again until nearly doubled.
Bake 10 minutes at 400 degrees, reduce heat to 350 and bake about 20 minutes more.
Cool on a rack.
