Whoever said that on a night with 2 Spectromagics, the second one will be less crowded was absolutely correct! I did 2 Spectros last night and the second one was practically dead- especially in Frontierland. So, if you can manage to stay up late enough- definately wait for the second one! The only disadvange is that the performers might be slightly less energetic after 2 parades.
Oh, and here's another character tip. In character dining, the very first to be seated and the very last to leave will get the most unrushed character interaction because the other tables are pretty much empty.
The quicker you get the camera ready, the easier it is for the character to hold a cute pose. Characters might try to give you a really nice pose, but they can only hold it for so long, especially if they are holding up their arms or crouching down!
Remind children to be careful not to bump the character while he is signing or the autograph will get messed up.
