Who would run for election?

Who among you would run for a high ranking political office such as president?

Would you like to have every tiny detail of your current and past life repeatedly scrutinized? Would you like to have about half the nation throwing half truths about you at the other half? Would you like to never be able to shop, go to a doctor, sit on a park bench, go to WDW without a crew of cameras in your face? Would you like the time you rise, the time you go to bed, the bad food you ate all be reported daily for months on end? I could go on but I am sure you get the idea.

We need to reform how elections are done in this country but for now, can't we please all get along?

Actually, I would love to see more "common" people in office instead of wealthy individuals. I'm tired of listening to wealthy politicians telling me that they know what the "common" person wants, needs, etc.

Oh I would never run, not in a million years, and I would hate for my husband to run as well.
My FIL was mayor of our town and also a councilman for many many years.
It is ridiculous the amount of backstabbing and such that goes on at this level in a small town of 25,000.
The thought of dealing with that on a state or national level-no way!

Actually, that is my ultimate goal, to be President.

I have run every election year, but am bowing out of this year to throw my support behind Monty Dog and his "biscuits" platform.

I really don't want the details of my life broadcast. I have done nothing I am ashamed of, but why should I have to deal with this. Lets get real does the sex life of the Gov. of NJ have ANYTHING to do with his job duites? Does your sex life have anything to do with your job? ( I can think of VERY few professions that are impacted LOL!)

I believe he is bowing out of his job because he put his lover in cabinet positions, not necessarily because he was gay.
When I heard of his resignataion at first I was like WTH is he stepping down for-who cares?? And then I read about everything else that is going on. He abused his power.
