On to Jef:
Jef just drank some wine at their sit down dinner.
Unless they replace the bottle with apple juice, it was white wine. I guess this is one place he left his Mormonism behind.
I loved the questions Jef asked Emily!
Putting her in the tough spot. He is definitely much more mature than his looks. He is growing 'older' each episode.
And his upbringing is showing. That if one raises a child right, even when he finally moves in directions and decisions away from how he was brought him up, that one can be assured he will make the right choices & do the right things, even when the parent is no longer at his side.
When he & Emily talk, They really TALK. About themselves, each other, Rikki. The deeper stuff. I liked how he really wanted to ask HER questions about how right they both are for EACH OTHER. That this isn't all just a one sided deal, her being able to pick a guy. HE wants to know if she will be right for him. It's not a given.
When Emily talks to Sean it kind of still is small talk. "You're amazing." "So are you." When she talks to Arie, they mostly just kiss. Not even sure if he has enough brains to hold a long term conversation.
I love how JEF turned Emily down for the Fantasy Suite! That he took in Emily, Rikki, and both their families. He is the FIRST person in all the years of this show that said the families ARE involved in this process.
