While we were waiting for the Pixar play parade a CM came over and was talking to my boys. He was wearing a vest with lots of different characters on it. He just sat there and talked to us and played with the boys. Then as abruptly as he came, he left I was hoping we were going to be dreamed, but knew it wasn't the right outfit LOL

After he left he went and talked to some other people. Is his job just to mill around and talk to people? I've never seen anyone wearing that particular outfit.

Did he have a cast member badge thingy? If not, he probably wasn't an employee.

I *think* the CMs who work in the Off the Page store in DCA wear vests that are a dark bluish/gray color and they have different characters on them?

It was probably an Ambassador, they walk around, making small talk with people to see if they need anything and how things are going, we had a great experience with one!

Yes he had a badge An ambassador seems just like what he was, though I wonder if he was new because he seemed sweet, but a bit awkward about it

I'd never even heard of ambassadors. So I googled it.

I was there when they named the new ambassadors for 2009. If I am not mistaken they are Quinn Shurian and Danielle DuBois.

The "ambassador" we ran into said that normally she works retail but because of YOAMD DL was putting more people out on the streets of Disneyland to make everyones stay a little more enjoyable...not sure if she gave us wrong info or just didnt know what her correct title was but she definately made our stay all that more pleasant. I wish I could somehow convey to her how much her presence made our trip that much more enjoyable and how her thoughtful-ness stayed with us even when we got home. Maybe next time were there we can find her and give her something to express our thanks!

Ah, now I know who you ran into (I was wondering, since our Cast Ambassadors are normally busy enough that they don't come into the parks very often).

That was a member of the Dream Squad, when they're not giving out prizes, they just roam around talking to Guests and creating Magical Memories.
