great start - always love the BC trip reports.
:

Whew, I thought driving across and down the state was long, I couldn't imagine having to cross an entire state, knowing WDW was waiting for you at the end of a very long carride. (Plus an overnight stay, but that's beside the point.)
Everyone sounds happy and excited to be beginning the trip! Plus, it's always fun when that realization hits you that in a day's time, you'll be back on beloved rides and seeing the castle again.![]()

Why yes, yes she was. lol
I can't wait to hear more....![]()
Small World! Yup, we are K-towners. Where did you go to high school? DH went to Farragut and I went to Karns.
Should I mention that little ol' Soddy Daisy has a Zaxby's?![]()
I so have a fear of clowns too! There's just something exceedingly creepy there! I would've had to turn my chair around, too, so I couldn't see him! DH & I have even made complete detours in Walmart when you can hear the clown coming on his little bike with the bell. Ughhhhh!!![]()
Love Zaxbys! Their salads are great. I am going to note to never go to the one you did, though. I don't necessarily hate clowns, but I don't exactly love them, either.
Our original plan was to stop for dinner in Tifton or Vadosta (Valdaahsta or Vald-oh-sta), but we got ther too soon, so we didn't stop. We did stop at a McDonalds in Tifton on the way home. It wasn't very busy with customers, but the employees were very busy....socializing.
We also had a great DVD debacle on our trip. I packed the old, broken DVD player instead of the spiffy brew DVD player that we just bought for our last trip in September. That won't happen again!
No way! I went to Karns (grad in 99) and went to/still go to church in Farragut so knew tons of people there too. Small world!![]()
I don't believe I've ever driven through Georgia, but I'm starting to feel like I have now. (It can't be as bad as driving across Nebraska, though...that is the boringness that never ends!) I have no idea what Zaxby's is. Guess I'll have to look that up now. Hooray for almost being to Florida!
ETA: Okay, I looked up Zaxby's. Boy do they like their "Z"s!

So does AlcoaKnoxville does have Wishbones though - I personally think Wishbones chicken is better (and was a Sawyers fan before they closed)
Hope the DVD player stopped acting up! That could make for a long ride! How did our parents ever do it?
Can't believe that Knox-vegas doesn't have a Zaxbys! On the trip home, my girls were having their Zax withdrawl. They insisted that we either stop there or Chick-fil-a! My girls love their chicken---which I find slightly amusing, since they order chicken nuggets at nearly every counter service restaurant in the parks!![]()
Joining in! Love our report so far. You and your family are adorable!
When Lacey lived in Cleveland, Georgia, we had to eat at Zaxby's every trip 'cause it was so good. Imagine our delight when, one day, a "future home of Zaxby's" popped up near our house. We were so happy!
I pretty sure that Lacey and Jesse took the same exact route that you guys did to WDW.
It sounds like the kids were doing pretty well without the DVD player.![]()
