Who should I contact for a rent/trade board concern?

I may be jumping the gun here. I paid for a point transfer last night (over $1000). The person (DVC member) contacted me today and told me they were unaware that they could only do one point transfer a year. They asked me if they could pay me back after work today. I said that was fine. It's now 12 hours later and my money has not been returned. I have called, emailed, and left PMs to this person without a response. I'm starting to get pretty nervous.
 
wow, that is pretty scary. I hope it all works out. I have done point transfers in the past and have asked for 1/2 payment prior to doing transfer via conference call with MS with remainder paid immediately after. I know this doesn't help you but it might be helpful for you or others in the future.
Please keep us updated on th outcome. I don't think they can do anything for you , but you can let the board moderators know.

Well, MS isn't going to help because all point transfers are supposed to be without compensation. From the Public Offering Statement:
Club Members are expressly prohibited from receiving compensation for engaging in any Transfer activity.

And I'd bet the DIS won't be able to do anything either. It's Buyer Beware.

You may need to contact an attorney.

Hope that it works out but how did you know that they are a member/owner?

Just an update, OPs funds have been refunded and I'm going to assume that PMs just passed in the system, so any actual timeline is unknown..so I'll give the DVC Owner the benefit of the doubt and think that the owner probably just waited until either the funds were actually in his account before drafting them back out, or simply had other things come up to delay the refund.

Anyway, all is well.

Given that the other party apparently contacted the renter proactively, I had a good feeling about this situation. I'm glad it worked out and glad we got resolution here as it seems we often haven't as of late with OP's not updating the situation.
