Park Vue Inn or Hilton Anaheim?

This will be for a solo trip I do,which likely won't happen for a few years. Whenever my family goes to DL,we always stay somewhere right across the street. It's nice not dealing with a shuttle. My girls aren't into DL anymore. I'm assuming DS6 won't be when he's older. When that happens, I plan on taking a solo trip during Oogie Boogie Bash. I like the convenience of Park Vue Inn across the street. I've stayed at Hilton Anaheim before, and I love all the amenities and restaurants, etc...This solo trip would be several days with a couple of break days in between. Which would you chose?

I'm semi-local, and after staying at several hotels around the area, I try to stay at the Hilton now when I want to "splurge" and not drive the 90 min back home. I'm doing it again in February. I was able to secure a room through Hotwire for $120 or so (plus taxed/fees $172).

The ART bus is like $6 for 24 hours and the stop is right there by the lobby. It is very convenient.

Being solo, I would love the convenience of popping back over to park vue. But it probably depends on what you want to do on your non park days.

We just stayed at park vue in July and they have updated the rooms. And we just stayed at the Hilton Anaheim in December and they just renovated the entire hotel. The upgrades were nice. We wanted to hang in the lobby but there was a dance/cheer event at the convention center and the lobby was insane!! We waited an hour for Starbucks (normally would never do that but it was our travel day with a later flight and we had the free money from being Diamond members). We just walked to the Toy Story lot and used the free shuttles there to the parks.

For me it would also depend on pricing and if you will have a car. Hilton charges a lot for parking (40-50 a night I believe) and park vue has a small resort fee.

Have a fun trip!

I saw a YouTube video of the updated rooms. Is it true there's no drawers anymore? If so,it makes me not want to stay there anymore, unless it's a solo trip.
On my rest days, I'd likely just be taking a dip in the pool, or go to Downtown Disney for ice cream. We'll see what happens...Such first world problems. Lol

Our room did not have any drawers. We stayed in the 1 queen bunkbed room. I think you may have commented on our YouTube video. Someone recently commented the same thing on our channel. Lol.

Can't answer between those two hotels but I won't stay anywhere other than right across the street on a solo trip.

I currently have a trip planned with a friend. He wanted a suite but didn't want to spend money that it would cost to do that across the street, so we are at the Embassy Suites, South and will have to use ART to get to the parks. I already booked my back-up hotel across the street in case he ends up backing out. There is no way I want to deal with a shuttle if I don't have to.

I'd go with Park Vue for the convenience of being right across the street, unless you would ever consider Candy Cane Inn. They have a shuttle, hot breakfast and are a 10-15 minute walk.
