You bet I remember them. And all in glorious AM Radio Sound!:D

hey i was born in 1987 and i know almost all of these songs! lol i listen to my mom's station so much i know the words too!!
**Sarah**

The only reason I remember them is because my boyfriend's car didn't have an FM radio in it so that's all we had to listen to. FM was optional back then. :sunny:

Hamilton, Joe Frank & Reynolds - Fallin' In Love (August 23, 1975 - 1 week)

I just bought a CD that has this song on it (one of those 70's CD things), that's exactly why I bought the CD! I love that song.

A lot of songs on that list are absolutely awful. :smooth: :earseek: :teeth:

I remember all of them except for the first one. Elton John did "Lucy in the Sky With Diamonds?"

I watched "King of the Hill" last night, and part of it took place at a roller skating rink, where they were skating to "Fly, Robin, Fly." Little stuff like that is why that's such a good show.

I remember them all. I was the same age then as my son is now (Sophomore/Junior year of high school). I particularly remember taking the school bus on a ski trip and singing "Black Water" with everyone else most of the way there.

Thanks for the trip down memory lane!

Thanks for the trip down memory lane! I do remember all of those! I was a freshman in college. Wow, each of those songs takes me back.

We shared an American Airlines flight with K.C. & the Sunshine Band last year. They had played during half time at a Nets playoff game and were flying out the next morning to Miami on the same flight as we were. I thought that was cool.

I wasnt born..but I do recognize some of them!

You BET I do!!!

I agree Saffron; what a wide variety on that list . . .

:crazy2: Van McCoy and the Soul City - The Hustle (July 26, 1975 - 1 week)

:sunny: Linda Ronstadt - You're No Good (February 15, 1975 - 1 week)

Thanks for the trip down memory lane, Blondie!!

Gee

Thanks for making me feel so old:(

I remember hearing all of those that year.

BTW For a while CMT reran the old Glen Campbell Variety Hour show. It was really funny watching all those old bits and guess celebs. Especially the hair and clothing. Seeing Willy Nelson with short hair and a black tutle neck sweater was great.

1975 - Leisure Suits were still big back then I believe. My mom bought me a light blue one I had to wear. At least I got to wear it with my Shark's Tooth chain

Thanks for this thread! I was born Nov. 22nd 1975. It's neat to see what the #1 song was that week.

Can't be much worse than Glen Campbells' "Rhinestone Cowboy", Deb! ROTFLOL! That song is just awful!!!!!! :teeth:

But -- it screams AM radio, so that's pretty cool, since AM radio is pretty much a thing of the past anymore.

Or Philadelphia Freedom. :crazy2:

Broken8Ball -- our local PBS station frequently runs old Ed Sullivan shows on the weekends and I love watching them! It brings back memories!

Shark tooth chain! Oh my gosh! ROTFLOL! That had to be of the movie, "Jaws", right?
:teeth:

Ok, I was eleven at that time and spent most of my free time dancing if I could. I loved those songs.

I was 5 but remember these songs.

Blondie, when I saw Elton John at Chicago Stadium he introduced his new song.....Lucy in the Star with Diamonds. We were the first crowd he played it for. I always thought that song special of course!:teeth:

Did anyone else notice that the longest one song was on the list was two weeks?

That was with good reason...

I will say that I loved Captain and Tenillle back then .. but I was also 5 years old.. I didn't know any better!

<font color=navy>I used to listen to them on 93 KHJ here in Los Angeles back in those days on my transister radio.

I was 15 at the time, and those were the songs we were singing.

Thanks for the trip down memory lane, Blondie. :)

That fall was my first year at Stanford - I think I was too busy to remember the music.

Graduated High School in '75 so that really brought me down memory lane.
