Missiowa,
Central Reservations Office (CRO for short) is where you call to make ressies. Some people call the 407 phone #, others use the 1-800 number. It seems that some people are calling, giving the code and are given a ressie with the special rate, and others are told that you need a pin. If there is a pin# in your profile on their computer, don't worry about it. You'll be fine. If you gave them this code, they may book the room, but if there is no pin#, you are not eligible. I think a few pages into this thread, a couple of people were called back and told they weren't eligible. If you aren't sure, just call back and verify.
Someone asked what would we do if we found out at check in that we weren't eligible and had to be charged rack rate. If the cm gave me this rate, and I had no idea about the necesarry pin, I'd be upset. I wouldn't walk away though. Where would my family stay if we did that? I guess I'd plead my case and hope for at least some type of discount.
However, I would never knowingly book a room that I knew I wasn't eligible for. I wouldn't want to be worried sick about what might happen at check in.
