Who needs May/June codes?

Missiowa,
Central Reservations Office (CRO for short) is where you call to make ressies. Some people call the 407 phone #, others use the 1-800 number. It seems that some people are calling, giving the code and are given a ressie with the special rate, and others are told that you need a pin. If there is a pin# in your profile on their computer, don't worry about it. You'll be fine. If you gave them this code, they may book the room, but if there is no pin#, you are not eligible. I think a few pages into this thread, a couple of people were called back and told they weren't eligible. If you aren't sure, just call back and verify. :D

Someone asked what would we do if we found out at check in that we weren't eligible and had to be charged rack rate. If the cm gave me this rate, and I had no idea about the necesarry pin, I'd be upset. I wouldn't walk away though. Where would my family stay if we did that? I guess I'd plead my case and hope for at least some type of discount.

However, I would never knowingly book a room that I knew I wasn't eligible for. I wouldn't want to be worried sick about what might happen at check in. :sad2:

WHo is CRO? I called disney direct and the CM gave me the code after I booked my room and also got a conformation #. He said noting about a PIN. I had to reserve the 1st nights stay and the balence when I get there, I got AKl savanna view for $135. Isnt that a pretty good deal? Missiowa

It's a great deal, but I would call back and have them double check to see if you have the necessary PIN for this code. If not you stand a good chance to lose your discount. Better to find out now.

Sometimes CM who do not really check the system let this happen and then managers are made aware of the situation come back and correct it. That is when you could lose the discount or have to pay more at check in.

With all the warnings given in this thread from moderators and travel agents I can not imagine anyone trying to book this code without the necessary pin number.

I am sorry but anyone doing that after they know, is asking for problems.

Has anyone actually received an e-mail with the code and pin for this time frame? I know I didn't (although I did get an e-mail postcard from S/D for the winter). The last time I read through this thread, NO ONE had actually received an e-mail, postcard, or other offer for the discounts with this particular code. I find that rather curious. . .

When we attempted to book the room (within the first 24 hours after becoming aware of the code), my husband called and gave his name--no luck in being able to book since he had no PIN. I called back within minutes, gave my name, information, etc. and was told that we DID qualify for the discount. Over the years I have held the reservation in my name because I had the AP and am home to make the reservations when the APs (or other discounts) become available. My husband has had reservations in his name in the past (although not nearly as frequently). It just seems odd to me that the PIN is attached to a name rather than a family profile, then again--I'm not all that enlightened regarding the WDW res system.

Frankly, I was so surprised to be offered the discount--I totally messed up my reservation choices (we needed anchor nights at the beginning and end of our Polynesian stay--which BTW, was NOT available w/discount). We wanted to try CSR (not available w/discount) or perhaps WL. When I asked about CSR and informed it was not available--the CRO res agent offered POR or CBR. We have stayed at both but POR more recently so I took CBR. After all was said and done, my husband and I couldn't believe we didn't check availability at WL. We will be awaiting further discount offerings (AP or otherwise) and hope to change those anchor nights to WL since we've never stayed there before.

As I said in my very early post--if this rate were somehow changed by the time we receive confirmation, I wouldn't be upset--if we aren't entitled, we aren't entitled BUT since we checked both names AND the res agent indicated my name WAS entitled--ya' gotta' trust someone to get it right! ;)

Others have given this advice to those who are new to the game--check with CRO and see if you have a PIN attached to your profile that would allow this discounted rate. You will either be entitled or not and I don't see that as trying to "put one over" on anyone Disney or otherwise.

Please email me the code too please as I am awaiting AP rates for late June.

Thanks Lisa

For all who have called more than once and found you did have a code attached to your profile you might want to check to be sure you do not have more than one profile. It happened to me - we had 3 or 4 because (I was told) sometimes CRO set up a new one rather than trying to find an existing one - so we had at least 3. One had the correct number of visits, one said we'd never been there and one with I don't know what info. After several tries, last night I asked to speak with Guest Services and she consolidated the profiles into one with the correct info.

Quote - "Has anyone actually received an e-mail with the code and pin..." YES!! ME!!! I got the email with the pin and called CRO...they already had my info in my "profile" and I didn't even get a chance to mention the email until after she told me about my discount. The email did not have the "code", however the CM told me the pin went with a certain previously mentioned code. I feel secure with me reservation and I THINK EVERYONE SHOULD DOUBLE-CHECK THEIRS IF NO PIN WAS MENTIONED!! Good luck!

I just called to see if I had a PIN in my profile and the CM siad that he'd need a PIN to check and see if I had a discount. I asked him, "Can you just check my profile and see if there is a PIN or any kind of discount I may be eligible for"? He told me he'd need a PIN to check on that. It makes no sense to me, guess I'll wait and hope for AP rates!!!

Me too please? It would be sooo appreciated! Thank you ! :)

I'd like it too, if someone is willing to share. I think I'll sound like less of an idiot when I call! thank you

I'd like the codes too, Please. I called today and the cm I spoke with said she would like to know the code too. When I told her I heard about them on the disboard she replied that those people believe that Walts buried in the castle too. Guess we're all a bunch of nuts.

If you don't mind, can someone email me the code as well. I know I got something in the mail - we were there last Christmas and I seem to remember a 'come back this holiday' card or something like that. I have changed internet service from msn to sbc so it's possible an attempt to send an email occured that I'm not aware of. I went to disney website and changed my profile to my new e-addy.

Thanks for any help.

Vicki

Just a reminder that the code being discussed here is a code that requires a PIN. Only people who get the offer can use it.

I second DudsPizza's post.

This is a PIN only offer, asking someone to email or PM you the code letters is not going to help you, which is why the posting of the code is not allowed on the DIS.

Your best bet is to phone CRO and ask them to look at your profile to see if there is a promotional offer in there for you to use.
