Who knew choking each other would earn us fastpasses?

Love your picture submits. I have submitted two so far.

I would do one of 2 things your first night. I would either stay at Pop, so you can get a feel for it, since you have thought of staying there twice now, or stay at Universal and do a park. But Universal rooms can be pricey, so I guess it depends on how much you want to spend and what you want to do.

I agree with this. The only way you'll ever know for sure if a value will work for you is to stay at one. A one night commitment is easier to deal with than a whole vacation! Since we started out doing values then switched to moderates, DVC's and a deluxe or two, we at least knew when we went the value route again what we were to expect.

You'll remember (and if you didn't...I just reminded you:laughing:) that I had picked up Fastpasses for the Many Adventures of Winnie the Pooh as we passed through Fantasyland earlier in the day.

SANY2636.jpg

The time had finally come where we could visit Pooh, Tigger, Piglet, Rabbit and the Heffalumps and Woozles. Here's John standing in line and pretending to be asleep again. I'm actually surprised that he wasn't really asleep as he likes to take a nap every once in a while. :rolleyes1 He has been known to catch a few ZZZZZZs here and there. I know! I know! You can't believe that John would actually sleep while at Walt Disney World. :rotfl2:

SANY2637.jpg

Even with Fastpasses, we had to wait a little while. So I did what any perfectly normal Diser would do.....took pictures:

SANY2638.jpg

SANY2639.jpg

Here I am standing behind the striped line (with little honey bees on it):

SANY2641.jpg

Mama and Hunter sat in the back of the honey pot:

SANY2642.jpg

while John and I sat in the front of the honey pot:

SANY2643.jpg

And, then, we were bouncing off in our honey pot to follow Pooh on his adventures:

SANY2644.jpg

SANY2645.jpg

I was snapping pictures and turned to see:

SANY2647.jpg

I knew he wouldn't last!

SANY2652.jpg

SANY2653.jpg

SANY2654.jpg

SANY2656.jpg

The ride was over with all too soon. I nudged John and he was wide awake again. How in the world he gets refreshed after a 2 minute nap, I'll never know!:confused3

For the life of me, I can't remember where I took this picture. Do ya'll know?

SANY2657.jpg

I have no idea at all.....maybe in Philarmagic? That's what I am thinking but it doesn't make sense that it is in numerical order in my pictures. I don't remember going back to see Philarmagic again that day. Maybe I took it in the little store outside of the Snow White attraction. I am soooooo confuuuused! I refuse to think that I am getting older and am forgetting things.:upsidedow

After seeing Pooh (and apparently doing something else since I took a picture of a poster :rolleyes1), we didn't really have a plan other than using the Space Mountain Fastpasses that I had obtained earlier in the day. We knew that we had another day at the Magic Kingdom and we were trying to take it slow for Mama's sake.

By this stage of the vacation, Mama had figured out that I was picture happy. At first, she would stop and let me take the pictures. Now, she would keep walking with John and Hunter and let me catch up. However, this time, John had no idea where we were going so they had no choice but to stop while I took pictures of the castle:

SANY2658.jpg

SANY2659.jpg

We took the path to the left of the back of the castle and stopped to make a wish or two at the wishing well. There was just one other family there so we were able to take a few pictures:

SANY2660.jpg

I don't know why John and I look so serious in the picture above. We really were enjoying ourselves.

SANY2661.jpg

SANY2662.jpg

SANY2663.jpg

John asked "where to" and I told him that it wouldn't be long before we could use our Space Mountain Fastpasses. John said he didn't want to ride so he would wait outside with Mama while Hunter and I rode. Off we went down the pathway, past the Tomorrowland Speedway (which I have never ever understood being named that since you go as slow as a darn snail) and into Tomorrowland:

SANY2664.jpg

We made it over to Space Mountain and noticed that there were hardly any people waiting outside. What's up with that? What up was the ride was shut down temporarily. I asked the castmember if he knew when it would be back up and running and he said they hoped not too long.

SANY2665.jpg

See those clouds rolling in? So did we! The wind was starting to pick up and we could see a huge bank of black clouds making their way from way back behind Adventureland. They were coming straight towards us. I asked Mama and John what they wanted us to do. They both said we should wait and see if the ride got back up and running. They found a nice bench over to the left side of the building. Hunter and I found one to the right side of the building so that we could watch and see if the castmember started letting people in again.

After about 10 minutes, it started sprinkling. We walked back over to Mama and John who said they'd find a seat inside and wait on us. We walked in with them so that we'd know where they were. I snapped this picture of Hunter with the giant Vinylmation:

SANY2666.jpg

Hunter and I put on our ponchos and headed out into the sprinkling rain. At first it was just sprinkling but soon it was raining and raining pretty hard. I looked at Hunter and Hunter looked at me. "You wanna stay out here?" I asked. "Sure, why not?" he said. So, we did. We moved off to the side and watched it rain:

SANY2668.jpg

You can tell by the person's poncho in this next picture that the wind had picked up a bit too:

SANY2669.jpg

The place where we were standing had a slope to it and the water was really rushing by us at this point. Hunter had on his Crocs and couldn't have cared less. I was sitting up on a little ledge and had my feet propped up so I didn't get them wet:

SANY2670.jpg

It calmed down a little bit and we could see that they still weren't letting people into the ride. We walked back in the building to check in with Mama and John. They were talking and having a good time just people watching. They said to just wait it out a little longer. We didn't have to be anywhere until our dinner ADR at The Plaza.

Hunter spent a little time playing in the arcade:

SANY2671.jpg

After about 10 minutes, my phone rang and it was John. He said that he had heard someone say that the ride was back up and running. We hotfooted it outside and were soon blasting off into space! This was our first time to ride it since the rehab and it did seem smoother. Hunter said it was "awesome" and "I have to make dad ride it." I took pictures while we were on the conveyor belt thingamabob:

SANY2672.jpg

SANY2673.jpg

SANY2674.jpg

SANY2675.jpg

Hunter went straight to his daddy and begged him to please ride. John tries to act all tough but we all know that he is a sucker for his kids. It didn't take too much begging and they were off to ride. Mama stayed right where she was and I sat down beside her to wait. Since they used Fastpass, it didn't take long for them to make it back to us.

I went to take a peek outside to see if it was still raining. It was. It was one of those rains that you don't know if you should take out the ponchos or not. You know the kind of rain I am talking about. After a look at the sky, we figured it would be best if we did wear them.

SANY2676.jpg

I could tell that Mama wasn't quite sure about keeping on touring even though it was raining. She has this thing about getting out in the rain. We often laugh at her when she says "I was going to go to *** (insert name of a store or a person's house) but it was raining." John will just say "you don't have windshield wipers on your van?". I guess it's just because she's older.

Anyway, she soon realized that a visit to Disney almost always meant at least a rain shower or two or three or four....... We started making our way towards Main Street. It was a bit early for our ADR at The Plaza so we went down Main Street and did a little window shopping. Hunter wanted to show her the super duper expensive blown glass items:

SANY2677.jpg

SANY2679.jpg

Check out the price tag for the carriage:

SANY2678.jpg

That's right....it was $2,500.00. I bought three of 'em! Yeah right:lmao:

**Up next: dinner at The Plaza

SANY2657.jpg

I have no idea at all.....maybe in Philarmagic? That's what I am thinking but it doesn't make sense that it is in numerical order in my pictures. I don't remember going back to see Philarmagic again that day. Maybe I took it in the little store outside of the Snow White attraction. I am soooooo confuuuused! Yep, It in Philharmagic...I love that show!

My prayers continue to be with you and your family.

I love the photos you submitted and I even sent in a few of my own (you inspired me) I love the new theme and get so teary eyed whenever I read the captions on the photos. Last night while watching the Biggest Loser the new commerical for Disney came on and actually sobbed and cried. My DH looks at me like I've lost my mind and I just started to laugh and cry through the tears. Such a great idea.

just read your report on page 82 (only) I am still going over your report to figure out what I missed about lacey and John ?!? :confused3: I was up to Dollywood but I had to miss some chatter in there, since I'm not sure about some life things going on with you guys...I will catch up!!! determined to do so

Anywho, fun update!!! I don't blame your mom for not wanting to drive in the rain (people drive crazy when it is dry much less when it rains--I formed anxious tendencies after the birth ofAshton :confused3: don't even like to ride in it)...
sounds like a fun adventure through FL and TT...and I agree about TL Superspeedway...I hope they update it when they change it over to the Cars theme (I did read that somewhere didn't I -- not just a dream that Melody and I had--:rotfl: )

just checked out Lacey's webpage/store GREAT STUFF!!! saved in my favs to check it out often!

Morning all!

I hope that everybody had a good weekend. It was a semi-busy weekend here. My brother-in-law's health continues to spiral downhill. He is in a lot of pain, can't breath well and his blood pressure is very low. Right now, everybody's hanging in there pretty well emotionally. Some of you may think I sound cruel but I hope that this is over with soon. I hate to see him suffer and my family suffer.

My sister told my mother yesterday that when this is over, she and my mother need to go on a vacation together. I certainly don't blame her. With everything she has and continues to go through, she needs a vacation. That means that Mama won't be going with us to Walt Disney World. I can totally understand Mama's decision to take her "Disney money" and put it towards a trip with my sister. Right now, they are talking about a possible trip to the Smoky Mountains but they don't know.

I did say something to Mama about my sister going with us to Disney and splitting the cost of Mama's room with her. Mama liked the idea but I don't think my sister would want to go. She has always wanted to take her grandchildren to Disney and would probably feel bad if she went without them. I can't say that I would blame her.

So, that means we are looking at doing something "different" when we go to Orlando. Our arrival date is one day prior to the date free dining is offered. I need to find a place to stay the first night and something to do as well. I don't know if we want to book a stay at a Disney value resort and find something "different" to do on Disney property. Or, we may want to stay offsite and go on an airboat swamp tour and go to Medival Times. Another possible option is to stay at one of the Universal resorts and go to Universal Studios. If any of you have other ideas, please feel free to throw them out there.

When Disney announced their new 2011 theme, I submitted 19 photos and 1 video. I received notification from Disney that ALL of them have been chosen. I couldn't believe it! I hope that you'll click on the links below and "like" the pictures:

***Well, the boss has come in and is already spouting off a "to do" list. Let me get him busy and I'll be back.

Sorry to hear about your BIL; but, I do understand what you are saying. I say the same about Danny's Dad daily (I really think he hangs on for MIL).

Congrats on all the postings! I have oly submitted one...I wanted to do the one of Ashton w/Handy Manny but can't seem to pull it up from facebook and I no longer have any photos stored on my computer. But, am having fun seeing all the fellow dissers!

On your first night, I like the idea of staying at POP (you guys have been tossing that idea around) and I like the idea of trying out US/IOA one night. I think Hunter would really enjoy that and it has been so long since you guys gave that a try. Even Seaworld and a hotel close by would be another option (I think I remember hearing you say that it has been awhile since you guys have been there).

now, back to back read somemore...I might catch up with you guys before your next trip :rotfl2:

The news on my brother-in-law's condition continues to worsen every day. I hope that his suffering isn't prolonged.

I found the pictures that I submitted on my office computer. They were somehow still stored on there. So, those are the ones that I submitted. I was excited to see that they were all chosen.

John and I were talking tonight and we still don't know what to do for our first night. Decisions! Decisions!

just read your report on page 82 (only) I am still going over your report to figure out what I missed about lacey and John ?!? :confused3: I was up to Dollywood but I had to miss some chatter in there, since I'm not sure about some life things going on with you guys...I will catch up!!! determined to do so

I know that they are opening a Carsland in Disneyland. Wouldn't it be great if they changed the Tomorrowland Speedway into a Cars theme at WDW!

Lacey is trying to make some money for the wedding. She was doing the decoupage stuff for her friends and they suggested she start the site. The stuff really is cute.

Yep, It in Philharmagic...I love that show!

My prayers continue to be with you and your family.

I love the photos you submitted and I even sent in a few of my own (you inspired me) I love the new theme and get so teary eyed whenever I read the captions on the photos. My DH looks at me like I've lost my mind and I just started to laugh and cry through the tears. Such a great idea.

I guess we did go back to Philarmagic again then.

Thank you so much for the continued prayers.

I get teary eyed when I read some of the submission stories too. Everybody has such wonderful memories. If your picture gets chosen, post the link 'cause I want to see it.

I cry over every darn thing. John just looks at me and shakes his head.:rotfl:

I agree with this. The only way you'll ever know for sure if a value will work for you is to stay at one. A one night commitment is easier to deal with than a whole vacation! Since we started out doing values then switched to moderates, DVC's and a deluxe or two, we at least knew when we went the value route again what we were to expect.

There are just so many options to chose from. We even wondered about booking one night at a deluxe just to see if it would live up to all the "hoopla". More than likely, though, we will stay in a value resort.

Hi Lisa I'm keeping your family in my thoughts. Also I "liked" all of your pictures!

Thank you so much for the prayers. We will take all of them we can get.

I appreciate the "likes" as well. :thumbsup2

I'm all caught up again on your TR - first, sorry to hear that it has gotten worse for your BIL. I think its probably a perfectly normal reaction to want it to be over, of course you don't want to see the people you love be in pain & your BIL having to suffer. I'm so sorry this is happening to him & your family

I did go through every one of your memories pictures - they are really fantastic & I love the little write ups with each. I have to say the one with the "tweedles" has to be my favorite, guess why :rotfl:

But I especially liked the romantic ones with your DH, I'm impressed to see your good example of keeping the passion going after 26 years! wow :cloud9:

ANd your DS is totally blushing when the CM gave him a check kiss at hoop dee do! Too funny :cutie: I like his picture with Donald for his birthday and both the kids jumping for joy at EPCOT. Those were really great!

Now that last picture of your husband laying his head on your sons lap on the monorail, your son looked a little unsure of that one :goodvibes

BTW, did you share yet what special little secret gifts you & DH got each other? Or are they to remain secret popcorn::

The pictures that I submitted were some of my favorite ones. I had kept them on my office computer (don't know why but I did) so it was convenient to submit them when I saw that Disney was taking memory submissions.

Our kids are always looking at John and I and rolling their eyes 'cause we are lovey dovey. We are huggers all the way. I always ask Hunter and Lacey if they would like to have parents like us or parents that never show each other love.

Hunter's expression in the monorail picture was funny. He was trying to act like he was semi-offended that his dad was lying in his lap.

John usually buys me a ring, earrings, necklace or other little goody. It's harder for me to buy his special gift....he's too darn picky.

I've been looking into Universal Studios and the resorts are so darn high. If we do Universal or Sea World, we will probably stay at a semi-cheap offsite hotel on Hwy. 192.

If we stay on Disney property, we aren't sure if we want to stay at a value, another moderate or AKL. My oh my.....there are just too many choices.
Hi Lisa!

Yay, I am caught up again with your installments! So I see that since the last time I posted you have switched from Pop to CBR (love free dining don't you ;)!).

I am laughing about you saying that your mom loves John, mine was the same way with Dan. I used to kid her and say she only had me so that someday she'd have Dan for a son in law.

Just loving your report!

Oh, and Dan and I always buy secret gifts for each other too. But only at Disney, the rest of the year we never buy each other anything!:rotfl:

ETA: I just read back a bit in your thread (I had just read the links when I posted a couple of minutes ago). I am so sorry about your brother in law. I will keep your whole family in my prayers.

That is wonderful news about Lacey's job.

And I love the pics that got chosen! Disneyland did this for the 50th, they had collages all over the parks that were made up of pictures people had taken over the years at DL. It was so neat. I missed getting any of ours in due to my mom's illness at the time but loved seeing them! I am not surprised they picked some of yours, you take such great photos and your family is the perfect example of Disney magic at its best!

Hang in there with all you have going on.

Free dining was what really made us decide to stay at the CBR. We really enjoy the dining plan. By the time we paid to upgrade the dining plan (if we stayed at Pop), the price difference was just a few hundred dollars.

Lacey calls John her son. She couldn't love him more than if she had actually given birth to him. It sure makes you feel good when you know your mother loves your spouse.

We are just like you guys....we only buy surprise gifts at Disney. Most of the other time, we hardly ever buy each other anything.

I was happy to see that my pictures were chosen. I have already seen several of them pop up on the Let's Make Memories site.

I appreciate your kind words about my brother-in-law. It's a sad time in our family right now.

I think it is so great you got so many pictures picked. I love the new theme and love readin about what makes Disney magical for others.

 just remember that I am thinking about you during this difficult time.

At first, I wasn't too keen on the new theme. It quickly grew on me though the more I thought about it and the more I looked at their new site.

Thanks so much for thinking about us.

Whoa, so many memories that got picked. How wonderful!

How sweet that John went on SM for Hunter. Such a cute picture of you and John on Winnie the Pooh. Boo on more rain. Didn't stop you guys though!

Great update! Loving the toontown pics. I am sad to see it go in some ways and excited to see what is to come. I wish I had taken more pics when we were there last year because who knows if it will still be open when we go in February.

Me too! I know that there's nothing but good things to come but it saddens me to know that the oldie but goodies will be gone.

Hi Lisa! I've been horrible this summer. Now that fall is around the corner I hope to get caught up. Just wanted to stop by and say hello and I haven't forgot ya! Miss ya my DIS buddy!

I totally understand! This was a really busy Summer. I know that I'll start having more Dis time when the time changes....can't stay outside all evening since it'll be getting dark earlier.

OH MY GOSH!!!!!!!!!!!! How awesome!!!!!!!!!!! I submitted Shelby's Cinderella story, but I have not heard anything back yet!

CONGRATULATIONS!!:cool1:

Lisa, How fun!!! to have your stories and photos published!!!!
congrats!!!
:mickeyjum Connie

I know! I was super excited!

I can't believe I have gotten so far behind; thank goodness we keep up off the boards :goodvibes. I have been praying for your brother-in-law and the rest of your family. I know your strong faith will help.

You did not; however, tell me about Lacey's new job :thumbsup2. Way to go Lacey :goodvibes. I love the pictures chosen for Disney Memories, Hunter is such a ham, and a handsome one at that.

Looking at your Toontown pictures was so funny. I posted the last part of my September trip today, and we have some of the same pictures..........:rotfl:.

I've been behind on my Dising too. I just can't seem to get caught up and, once I do, I fall behind again somehow?

Hi Lisa. So sorry to hear about your Brother in Law. He will be in my prayers as well as you and the rest of the family. I'm sure it's a very hard situation.

Congrats to Lacey on the new job! I am the Children's Ministries Director at my church....it's a very rewarding, yet tiring, job! (Not that I even get paid..it's a volunteer position for now. :goodvibes)

Love the Toontown pics and updates! Sad to see it go, but excited to see what's in store!

I love that you and John buy "secret gifts". What a fun tradition! :thumbsup2

I watched the live feed of the announcement yesterday. Cool campaign! I'll have to look for some pictures to submit. How fun that two of yours were chosen already!! :)

Thanks for the prayers. We definitely appreciate it.

Unfortunately, Lacey's job didn't work out. As I said, the church is brand new and the congregation was extremely small. There were just a few kids in children's church and they were all under the age of three. Lacey felt more like a babysitter than a leader. She talked with the pastor who totally understood. Oh well, God knows where Lacey needs to be. He will get here there in due time.

At first, I was a bit underwhelmed with the new theme. But, it has definitely grown on me.

I can't believe that two of your pictures were chosen!! Congrats! That is great!

Lisa- that is AWESOME that 2 of your photos were picked!! :woohoo:

Yay for you, Lisa!!!

I submitted a couple of pictures from work today, but I have more pictures on my home computer, so I'm going to submit some more this weekend, probably.

Thanks! I was so excited to see that they were chosen.

Koby's kiss from Silvermist & Shelby meeting Cinderella were picked!!!!! I posted the links on my PTR!!! I am sooooooooooo excited!!!

I saw that all of your's were chosen too!

Love the pictures. I might have to take a look through mine. LOL!

What is the 2011 theme?

The one that you submitted of Claire was simply adorable.

How exciting about the photos! You deserve a little excitement! I kinda want to scan a photo I have of me and my grandmother on the Fantasy Land Skyway, my grandma has a horrified look on her face because they were shutting the door and my uncle was taking the picture and she thought that the ride was gonna take off without him lol. I think I was five when that happend.

You should submit the photo. I said I was going to dig out some of my old pictures and scan them too. Just haven't done it yet. Even if you don't submit the photo, I'd love for you to post it here. I bet it's a great picture.

All caught up
Very sorry to read of your BIL's health issues
Yay for Lacey getting a job!
Congrats x2 for your pics being chosen!!
Fun updates

You've been one busy woman this Summer! And, you're going back to Disney in not time at all. I'm so very jealous!

So cool that you pics got picked. Mine got picked too. http://memories.disneyparks.disney.go.com/#/detail/2074

I'm working on posting some videos, to see if they will get picked for any of the promo spots. I know that I have seen a few clips of the Wolfs Dance Orlando video, pretty sure he is a fellow disser. It's an awesome video and it's cool to see some clips from it in the promo spots.

Looking forward to the rest of your trip report. And maybe some of us will get our pictures or videos used for actual promo spots on TV. :happytv:

Isn't it just the most exciting thing ever to see your memories on the Disney site?!?!

If you post a video, please put the link up here. I wanna see!

I love the mickey mouse graduation ears for class of 2010. I think I'll look for those on our trip in December. I graduate in November but I think they'd be really cool to have. :)

We saw them in County Bounty and in The Emporium. I am sure they had them in other stores as well. If you buy some, take a picture of you in them so we can see.

Yeah:banana: Your pictures got picked!! Now where is that horse that Hunter was riding? I can't believe I never noticed that!

The horse is right outside one of the Hollywood Studios stores. I can't believe I don't know the name of the name street in HS....you know...the one that you walk directly down towards the big hat. The store is about halfway down on the right.

Wow, I am really behind. Lisa, I am so sorry about your brother-in-law. Your sister and all the family will be in my prayers.
That is really exciting about Lacey's job - how wonderful to find your calling in life and then be able to actually find a job and a purpose.
I love that your picture of Hunter got picked, but I'm not surprised because you take so many good pictures! Hope you get picked for the Mom's panel.

It's okay to be behind. I am just now getting caught up on my own report. Please keep us in your prayers. The news on my brother-in-law gets worse and worse every day.

Well, Lacey has decided that the job just wasn't for her. She said that it just didn't "feel right". She knows that God will lead her to where he wants her to be. Now she just has to be patient and wait on him to put her there.

Thanks for the compliment on the pictures. I am such a picture taking fool that I just knew that one of them would have to be chosen. Either that or they'd just chose one to shut me up. LOL!

Congrats on having your pictures chosen---very exciting!

I didn't even know anything about the 2011 theme---I may need to think about some of my memories!

You should submit the one of the girls walking down Main Street. I loved that one!

Yay Lisa!!:yay: That's so cool that your pictures got chosen!!!:woohoo:

I think I'm going to go through our pictures tomorrow and see what I can find.;)

Did you submit any pictures yet? I like the one of the boys holding hands. That was truly a magical memory.

How wonderful that they were all chosen! I love the video! I only received 2 emails from Disney, but all 3 of mine are on the site.

I didn't receive my emails until days after the pictures were already on the site.

I'm keeping your family in my prayers Lisa. I know this is a very hard time for all of you, especially your sister and your Mom. I never really understood what my Mom meant about how much it hurts when one of your children is hurting; until I had kids. It would probably be good for them to go on vacation together.

About your first day in Orlando; I would stay off property and go to the Mall of Millenia. We went there in 2004 and it was a beautiful place. It kinda freaked me out that the walkways upstairs are clear and you can see the ground below :scared1:.

The pictures you submitted are so good. I really think Disney hit the bullseye this time :thumbsup2.

My mother is such a worrywart anyways so my brother-in-law's condition is really hard for her to deal with. Mama will probably go with my sister somewhere when all of this is over. They used to go on long weekend trips to Branson, Missouri or Eureka Springs, Arkansas. Even if they don't go somewhere for very long, it will be good for them to go out of town.

Good Lord have mercy! You're trying to suggest that I go somewhere that has clear walkways? Are you crazy? Seriously, I hadn't thought about that. Something to keep in the back of my wee little mind.

WOW!! How Awesome is that?? Congrats on so many of your pics being chosen.

Thanks Netta! I was happy to see them on the new memories sight. I think you should post one of your pictures of Gabby with Iridessa (spelling?) or the one with her talking to Tiana and Naveen. I loved those!

That is so wonderful that all your pictures were chosen!!! I have only submitted one so far....guess I should submit some more!

Did your picture get chosen? I'd love to see it!

Whoa, so many memories that got picked. How wonderful!

How sweet that John went on SM for Hunter. Such a cute picture of you and John on Winnie the Pooh. Boo on more rain. Didn't stop you guys though!

I submitted so many because I figured the odds were against me. I mean, there are literally thousands on the site.

John will do just about anything his kids ask him to do. He can try to act all tough if he wants to but we know him better than that.;)

We were actually surprised that we had been in Disney two days without any rain. It usually rains on us every day.

Hi, Lisa. We're home and I have a lot of catching up to do...I hope to catch up on your TR tomorrow or Friday (also, I've started my TR...it's linked in my signature).

Did you submit any pictures yet? I like the one of the boys holding hands. That was truly a magical memory.

Yes I did! I submitted 5 memories so far and all of them were chosen! I was so excited!!!:yay: I haven't submitted the one of the boys holding hands yet....I guess I will have to do that! :thumbsup2 With so many great memories it's hard to choose!! Again, I am so glad that so many of yours were picked!!! That's so wonderful!!!:goodvibes

Lisa,

Sorry to here about your BIL I unfortunately know what you are going through right now, it will be a year at the end of October since Dad passed.

On a lighter note our WDW trip was great and best of all we met a castmember at Winnie the Pooh that is from a small town 10 minutes North of us. We were able to talk to her for a while and she admitted to being a bit homesick. I also learned that her Aunt is one of my employees here at the University. We made plans to hang out with her at WDW on one of her days off. She was able to get us on a lot of the rides and has a lot of knowledge about the park. It appears that we have made a lifelong friend.:)

Hey Lisa,

Still down here but been trying to keep up :). Just dropping a line to say hi and that I've thought of you guys and all the DisFriends around these parts many times over this trip. Especially in the cold room of Test Track :p and the fact that I had to buy the same Mickey socks as John!

I'll be heading your way in a moment too Kathy!

I guess that is all for now. Keeping you and your BIL in my toughts and hope for some sort of comfort soon. /hugs

I can't believe it's been a year since your Dad passed away. It sure doesn't seem like that long.

Isn't it wonderful that you met someone that lived nearby. And, that her aunt is one of your employees. How very cool is that!

How sweet of you to check in with us. I'm sure you are having a much better time at Disney than I am sitting at my doggone desk. I'm glad to hear that you had no "issues" in the cold room at Test Track. John said those Mickey socks are the best wearing socks he owns.

Great update!! I love reading the adventures of your family!! Your family is also in my prayers.

I was just thinking about you last night. I was wondering how you were progressing since having your stroke.

Great updates! I love all the pictures you take of the little details. I never noticed the honeypots on the yellow line at Pooh. Love that! Can't wait to hear about the Plaza because that is my favorite place to eat in the MK!

I know that some of you read my previous trip report "You're the best parents in the world! I gotta pee! Where's My Tooth?" and know what Cafeen was talking about when he said he remembered me while in the cold part of Test Track. But, for those of you who haven't a clue, below is an excerpt from that trip report which will explain what we are talking about:

After our Mission to Mars, we were getting hungry for lunch but decided to go on Test Track since the wait was only 30 minutes. I couldn't believe it. We must have hit it at just the right time 'cause usually the wait is super long by lunch time.

I took a few pictures while waiting in line. Since we had a while to chat, I told my boys that I had to make a bathroom stop as soon as we got off the ride and before we took a lunch break.

By the time we got in our car, I really really had to tinkle. I knew the ride wouldn't take very long and there wasn't anything I could do about it right then anyway. Here's a pic of Hunter and John in the car:

100_0402.jpg

Our car bounced up to the building opening and stopped. "Don't worry guys, the ride will start again in just a minute," somebody announced. "I sure hope so", I said. "I gotta pee!" (Yep Hunter, I stole your line. )

The ride starts and we bounce along for a little bit and then, guess what, it shuts down.....right when we get smack in the middle of the frozen part. Not what I needed...Blasts of cold air and dripping water. We sit there and sit there and sit there.

There were three teenagers in the car with us just laughing and carrying on....totally oblivious to my dire situation. I now feel like one of those little kids that you see squirming and wiggling 'cause they "gotta go real bad!" John and Hunter start laughing at me and I'm frantically thinking what the heck am I going to do? If I pee myself, I guess I am going to have to take the bottle of water and pour it in my lap to "save face". At least that way, I can say I spilled water on myself.

Finally, we get going once again. And, somewhere along the way, I snap these pictures:

When the ride stops, I tell John and Hunter that they'll just have to find me later or call me on the phone or something because I'm making a run for the nearest bathroom. See ya!

I had never noticed the details on the yellow line before either. When I saw them, I just had to take a picture. Mama just shook her head because I was taking yet another picture.
