Who knew choking each other would earn us fastpasses?

I am happy to see you got Hunter's phone back too. It's an amazing thing at WDW that people really do turn things like that in. I remember a couple years ago when we went with DD's boyfriend and he was going to "pop the question" at dinner one night. Well, silly him was carrying the ring around in his jacket pocket and lost the jacket. We thought for sure it was lost for good. BUT, the next day he checked in at lost and found and someone had turned it in. :yay: We were completely amazed!

But, even with the "surprise" spoiled for the dinner, he "popped that question" in front of the Epcot ball and tons of people ... on one knee and everything. They are getting married May 7, 2011. Not at Disney though.

Let's all start singing now........It's a small world after all......It's a small world after all............It's a small world after all............It's a small small world!

Small world will be closed when we go next week :sad2:. Its been closed for refurbishment since August 1 and isn't supposed to open until October 22. Your pictures are all we will get this year. Its usually a must do for us just to get the song stuck in our heads:rotfl: The same with the COP song.

I love Its a small world!! Did you notice if it had been updated with characters? I saw a video about the Disneyland one being updated and I was just wondering about if it would be done at MK by the time we got there in December.

The renovation is scheduled to be finished by October 22 plenty of time before you go.:cool1:

I'll have to catch up later, because the van is all loaded and we are about to hit the road, heading to Orlando! Spending the night of site and headed to Pop Century first thing in the morning! I'l be back next Sunday evening and will catch up then.

Terri

Those are quite the rain puddles. My little boys would have loved those! (They've never met a puddle they didn't jump right into.) Serious crowds at Small World. That is just crazy!

Goodness, those puddles reminded me of when we were in WDW the year Hurricane Francis hit!

Loved seeing your IASW pictures, sadly it closed 2 days before our Aug trip so we didn't get to ride this go around. I just love riding that classic :lovestruc Did you mom enjoy it?

Glad to hear there are honest people out there & your DS got his cell phone back. Smart of him to realize it so quickly :goodvibes

John cracks me up with his sleeping poses.

I was thinking today...It's funny how you posted about how your family followed the rules and got rewarded...the na few posts later you post about stealing pots...well not stelaing per se, since it was the junk pile, but it still had me cracking myself up! :lmao: And you were rewarded with that with nice pots !

If you'll notice, it's 11:30 p.m. my time. My eyes are burning because I am so sleepy. But I just had to take a minute to let you guys and gals know that I just listed some of my Disney Design items on Ebay. I still have a lot left to list. I didn't get around to listing the dog bandanas, Minnie bracelets, camera sacks/bags, the Disney park merchandise or the other Disney items.

I also have the materials to make: 1) small baby security blankets that serve as pacifier holders; 2) aprons; 3) another sling purse; and, 4) more backsacks. Mama is also working on a scooter/wheelchair organizer. I have so many projects that I want to get to work on but there just ain't enough of me to go around.

So, if ya'll have a minute, head on over to Ebay and see the items I have listed as of right now. I am hoping to get more listed tomorrow evening. My ebay user name is the same as it is here on the Disboards........mickeystoontown.

Okay, I'm shutting this baby down for the night. I have to get up at 5:00 tomorrow morning and get John off to work. A woman/mother/wife's job is never done!

Wow.....that's a LOT of rain! YIKES!

Love IASW....thanks for all the pics. I felt like I was right there with you!

Off to eBay to check out your stuff! Have a great day! :goodvibes

Phew, after a summer long haitus (stupid work expecting me to work...) from the TR, then a start and stop again for a week or two, I finally caught up (and I had started it off so well!)

Now, my alarm is going to ring in 2 minutes, and I haven't slept yet... no, I didn't spend all night reading, don't worry :p (just the past 45minutes or so.)

So, without further ado...(this will likely be out of order, having just read 10 pages, and trying to remember the 40-50 pages behind I was when I started catching up...)

 • Another big congrats to Lacey and Jesse!
 • Yay for Lacey moving home for a bit. - It'll be tough for them being apart, but they'll make it through and they are close enough to visit regularly.
 • Yay for Mama doing so well at Disney
 • Tiana is absolutely adorable. It makes me want to have a kitty again (had to give up the 2 I had back home as they'd not be happy at the travel nor the change in lifestyle that I had to make :( (from being home all the time and able to interact, to working 8-5, or 8-7 as the case has been lately))
 • Grats on getting the design thing going, extra Disney (and Wedding) money will surely come in handy.
 • Insert other listed comments here for the many things that I'm sure I have forgotten!

As for myself, I did my online check-in today. I'm 10 days away! This time in 2 weeks I'll be getting ready to head into DHS with my mom. Speaking of which, I really need to get a haircut this week... (normally, she'll take me to the mall the first day I'm visiting to do that, but that would take away from park time this time, and that's not going to work :p)

I love Its a small world!! Did you notice if it had been updated with characters? I saw a video about the Disneyland one being updated and I was just wondering about if it would be done at MK by the time we got there in December.
As mentioned, it'll be up in plenty of time for your December trip, however, last I read (and granted, this was a couple months ago when the refurb was first "announced") there won't be the same character overlay they did in DLR. It's more likely a "technical" refurb. Time will tell though :).

It's a Small World after all! It's a Small World after all! It's a Small World after all....it's a small small world! Well, it certainly seemed as if the masses were decending upon It's a Small World by the looks of the crowds in line. I was so happy that we hadn't waited any longer to see the attraction.

A potty stop was needed again and I knew that the closest one was located along the walkway towards Liberty Square. The line for Peter Pan's Flight looked to be about as long as the one for It's A Small World so we decided to skip it and come back later or on our second Magic Kingdom day.

Our next destination was the little shop right under the walkway to the Haunted Mansion. I don't know what it's called but I believe it is sponsored by Smuckers (or at least used to be). It was still drizzling rain but there weren't many people in the store. I wanted to see what they had but wasn't looking for anything in particular.

John was still in a silly mood so he did another "I can sleep anywhere" pose:

Some of the goodies that the store had for sale:

Mama bought a couple of things in the store and had them sent to resort pickup so we wouldn't have to carry them around. I love love love resort pickup!

Instead of continuing on through to Liberty Square, we backtracked through Fantasyland. I wanted to make sure that we went to Mickey's Toontown since we had missed it last trip. I had to visit my namesake before it was no more. :sad1: As we walked through, I snapped a pic:

Also along the way, I stopped and got us all Fastpasses for The Many Adventures of Winnie the Pooh:

I really wanted to get my picture taken in front of the Mickey's Toontown sign. I am always, always a courteous picture taker/guest. If I see somebody else taking a picture, I stand back and let them take the picture. As I am standing there, I look around to see how many other people were there before me so that I am not jumping/cutting in line.

Unfortunately, there are a lot of folks out there that aren't so courteous. We stood there for what seemed like forever before we were able to get our pic taken. It would be our time to walk up and somebody else would jump in front of us. There was a guy on a scooter who was the rudest thing ever. He didn't care at all that he was breaking in front of me or the rest of the people. He pulled his scooter right up in front of the sign and had somebody take his picture. Then, his picture with a grandchild. Then, his picture with another grandchild. Then, his picture with yet another grandchild. After that, he moved and told the grandchildren to all stand up there.

John was getting really ticked off and said something like "some people just cut in line and then take forever to get out of the way". I know that the man heard him. I know he did but he just pretended like he didn't.

Anyway, after what seemed like two eons, Hunter and I finally got our picture taken:

***Doggone it. The boss is back from court. Be back after while to post replies and, hopefully, write a little more.

Love, love, LOVE your bracelet! :yay: Did I mention I love your bracelet? :lmao: Where did you find it?

That is great that you were able to get his phone phone back!!
We never got our picture in front of the sign because people kept jumping in front and were taking FOREVER!!

LOL at John's sleeping poses! I'm glad you got your Toontown photo in, but I'm sorry there were so many rude and/or clueless people.

How the heck did I miss an update. I HATE it when people are so ignorant...it really frosts my you know what. Long ago, they never had lines to form in to meet the characters. It used to drive me crazy when people (and it was mostly people from a certain foreign country) who would cut in front of you to get a picture taken. There were times that I would rudely turn around (and this is when the boys were little) and say, "excuse me, but this is a line forming here waiting their turn." They didn't like it, but they didn't cut in front of me anymore. I was very happy when they started having a line with CM's there to be with the characters.

I hate when the boss interrupts in the middle of something...

I'm hoping for another update or two before we leave. :)
