Attack of the Lakeshore Lodge

Where to start?! And I preface this list by saying I know I won’t buy LSL given resale restrictions now in place and that it will likely be tied to the cabins at FW which I wouldn’t want to compete with since I have no desire to stay in a cabin.
  1. It’ll likely have a pool and lazy river that rivals storm along bay at Beach Club/Yacht club.
  2. Boat to magic kingdom
  3. Seems like it’ll have a number of different room types and views
  4. Looking out on bay lake will be incredible
  5. You’ll likely have fireworks views from certain rooms and the beach
  6. Relaxed, modern theme
  7. Hoop Dee Doo is walking distance and would be a must do every visit
  8. Oh, and its new!?
I think an important item to add to this list, similar to my observations at WL vs the Monorail loop resorts, given that it's not on the loop, the public seating areas at the resort will likely remain a bit less crazy/crowded and be a okay spot to relax.

Interesting the note in the link as it relates to ongoing work at WL: The security kiosk at the entrance is being expanded as part of the work. That project runs from late March through mid-October. The entrance stays open throughout, but lane closures are possible at times.

I've been in the camp that the LSL main entrance will be through the current Timberline Drive WL entrance, with LSL traffic taking that first right. This WL entrance work sure makes it seem that will likely be the case.
