YAY! You're off toward Disney. Long drive that first evening, especially when you've worked all day. If you're like me, you're too excited to be tired.

Hey there! That first day of driving was okay until around Pensacola when we all got the silly laughing fits. You can tell by the picture that we were all pretty darn tired by that time.

I'm here. Great start, glad to hear that the rain cleared up fairly quickly.

Glad to see you! It rained a little bit here and there after that first initial storm but it wasn't bad at all.

Count me in too, I just love reading your trip reports !! I have 29 more days to go till I get to CBR. So this is definately giving me a Disney fix

Consider yourself counted and welcome to my trip report! I soooo wish I was going back to the CBR sooner rather than later. I need a Disney vacation from my Disney vacation.

Glad to see that the rain only lasted for a bit. I am like you, I do not like driving in the rain, either. Seems like you all were making good on your traveling time going through three states already (including your own!).

I just like driving in the rain one little bit. It makes me all nervous and before long my neck starts getting a pain in it.

We did make pretty good time even with some stops along the way. I'd rather make more frequent stops than have Mama uncomfortable.

Great updates! Looks like you are making good time. Too bad about the rain at the beginning, I hate to drive in the rain, especially at night.

We did make fairly good time even with a couple of stops along the way. I gotta tell you, though, driving until 1 a.m. had me beat to a pulp.....and orange pulp. Sorry, bad joke.

Just finished up your last trip report, and now I'm tuning in for this one. Hunter seems to have grown so much in the last year!

My DS is 7, (going to be 8 in September) and it's crazy how they grow so fast!!

Hey Zara! Glad that you joined in. Hunter seems to have shot up overnight. He's a little bitter taller than I am and a lot taller than his Mamaaw.

Just you wait and see, you're son will grow up before you know it.

I love your TRs. You have a way of writing & all of your photos that make it feel like we are reliving the trip with you. The Jameson in looks pretty nice! $80 is a great deal for a hotel room. Hunter is getting tall!! John cracked me up in the photo where he was "putting out the vibe" & I had to laugh about the Clark Griswold comment!!

You know me....I am a detail writing gal. I know I like reading everything and I assume everybody else does to. The Jameson Inns aren't fancy smancy kind of places but every one we've ever stayed in have been nice and clean and in a good location.

Yes, Hunter man is getting taller by the minute and loves to point it out too.

I have a couple of pictures of John "putting out the vibe". Silly silly man. Who the heck is he putting out the vibe to? Me? I'm way over that.

The Jameson Inn looks really nice. Is that a "chain?" I don't think I've ever heard of them? Or perhaps they are just in the south?

We leave our doors unlocked all the time. It's nothing for our friends and family to pop in and just yell "anybody home?". The only time we lock the doors is at night or when we are away.

The Jameson Inns are all over the South. They are nice and clean and always in a good location.

That's what John and I always say. If we think we're crazy/silly/weird, just look around us and there's always somebody crazier/sillier/weirder.

We did cover a lot of ground that first day which is always a good thing.

I was very thankful that the rain didn't last too long. The wind continued to blow and it would rain a little here and there but not bad.

Sure you can come...though you might not want to spend close to 20 hours in the car (with stops, of course) with an 8, 6, and 2 year old!!! I'm going to stay positive...they're going to be fine!

See - someone else said your TR's were good, too! They've gotta be interesting to attract so many people so fast! I feel like I've met you - I checked this report yesterday and said something like, "Wow, Hunter's really grown lately." My DH thought I was a nut. "Who's Hunter???"

I betcha I could do it! Now I just gotta figure out how I'm going to get to your house and into your trunk.

I have made lots and lots of friends on the Disboards. I am always talking about so-and-so (a Disboard friend) said so-and-so just as if I had been talking with them face to face. Isn't it amazing how our love for Disney can make for such a bond?

I am making it my mission to get to reading some of the Tr's that catch my eye but I never seem to finish or start! Your past titles intrigued me and I am glad I got in on this one early! Now I just need to go back and read the rest!

Love the writing style and the detail to the mundane that makes a trip. I do the same thing!

Every day, all day long, I draft legal documents. They are so drab and so depressing. I think that's why I try to infuse as much detail and humor into my trip report. I even throw in words that aren't even words. I call those my "McBride words". We have all sorts of them around our house.

My sister lives about 2 miles from our house so it was easy for her to pop over and check the lock.

I was going down Wellerman Road when I snapped those pictures. I sure wasn't going to be taking pictures on Cypress Street with all the traffic build-up due to construction.

I can't believe it took me this long to find your new TR!!! I have to go get caught up!!! I'm excited to hear about how your mama did on the trip. It's something I've considered. I took my mom to disney for her 60th b-day and it was awesome but now she is going to be 72 and not sure how well she'd handle it all. We're doing Branson with her this October and I'm hoping it goes smooth and maybe that will segway into... Disney!!!

Hey Chris! You're here so that's all that matters. Mama did pretty darn good for a 76 year old at Disney. We really thought she'd have to rent a scooter or a wheelchair but she didn't.

You may recall that we took Mama to Branson over Thanksgiving and she did pretty well. There are waaaaay more hills in Silver Dollar City than in Disney.

Welcome aboard! My last trip report did take quite a while for me to finish up. For some crazy reason, my boss expected me to actually "earn" my paycheck and I couldn't quite get the darn thing done in a reasonable period of time.

I couldn't believe that we all got a second wind after just a little walking around at the rest area. Hunter thought the footprints were cool as did the rest of us.

Are you able to see any pics that are posted on photobucket? (Try Lisa's other TRs to see if they're there), or I'm sure a couple other people around will also have locations to check. If not, then chances are PB is blocked somehow. If so, I just blame the internet gnomes for eating them before they got to your computer (in other words, I have no idea).

I can see them just fine. At least for now until you exceed bandwidth again (or photobucket explodes... one or the other). Seems like a busy place this time, might be the time to look into "pro" (or find another solution with unlimited bandwidth, but chances of a free one are pretty slim...) Hmm... time to make a bunch of emails maybe... put one day on each email and it should keep them organized at least. The low amount of images per account would also keep the bandwidth down as that particular account would only have to serve a smaller set of pictures, allowing for a larger number of views to reach the point. (I could go into detail here, but I'll spare everyone. You're welcome )

Ok, that's enough Techy nerdy stuff for now, and we'll go back to your regularly scheduled TR.
