Monsters are such interesting people.....................
Well, that makes 3 of us. I love Gossamer!Youre the only other person I know, that knew his name. LOL
I saw an interview with some of the creators of the original Looney Tunes. Unlike today, they did not target the cartoons to a specific age group, target age, etc...and did not create them to sell stuffed animals or toys and such...they created characters/situations/cartoons which made each other (the other ADULT cartoonists) LAUGH...something lacking in most modern cartoons.
About ten years ago, we were at my BIL's house for Christmas...all the adults were in the kitchen talking...the kids were all in the den. We noticed that they were not talking, but were laughing their heads off...seriously laughing.
We went in there to see what was going on...they were watching classic Tom & Jerry Cartoons. Not too many kid shows on tv any more which are truly funny.

wow...that's like asking me to name my favorite child...
None of the watered down, edited versions or the lame, newer cartoons which just aren't funny.
Have you seen the Road Runner where all the crashes have been edited out as being too violent? I grew up watching these cartoons every Saturday morning, and not once have I ever entertained the thought of dropping an anvil on someone's head (I realize some of you younger folks may not know what an anvil is...since you were deprived of the glory days of Looney Tunes).
Bugs Bunny and Witch Hazel.
Hansel? Hansel? Hansel!
