Who is the most famous person you know?

I saw Arnold, Maria and her mother in a grocery store here in D.C. It was bizarre seeing him just shopping in there like any other person. He is much smaller and shorter than I would have imagined. She is prettier in person - her features are so exaggerated on camera but she looks softer in real life.

I'm glad that Maria looks better in person. I admit this is a bit mean-spirited, but my nickname for her has always been "Skelator". Seperated at "birth"? See for yourself:

Maria DOES look skelatal on camera. Which is why I didn't recognize her in person. She looks very soft irl...... Its weird how the camera can play tricks like that.

Wayne Scot Lukas (fashion designer and stylist) is my husband's cousins' cousin. Mike Fox (former NY Giant) was a neighbor of my sister-in-law.

And my sister-in-law herself has 15 minutes or so of fame. She was on an infomercial for Bun-and-Thigh Max, and sat at the bar during an Emeril episode.

DH's cousin is Terri Austin - who played Jill on Knots Landing.

I met her a couple of times and I know her family well.
I don't believe she is acting anymore.

My uncle is the lead singer of a local country band here in Florida called "Wiley Fox". That's about as famous as it gets for me!!!

Wow! This is a great thread! Although, I have to admit that I have no idea who some of these people are (sports).

I can't say that I know anyone famous. I've met a few. My father's cousin was Peter Lucia (Drummer for Tommy James and the Shondells). For all that don't know who they are - the song "Crymson & Clover" or "I think we're alone now" ring a bell?

My DH used to live next to Mr. Green Jeans.

cabmom ~ oh my gosh! I was just thinking about that book the other night! I bought it a long time ago when DS was little and was wondering where it was. I really want to find it. It is one of the most touching books I have ever read. Makes me :sad1: too even just thinking about it!

From Capt. Kangaroo fame??? Wow.... Now, I never heard of most of the "famous" people (celebrities and sports figures) mentioned in this thread, but I know Mr. Green Jeans!! (Sad but true...... welcome to my world:sad2: :rotfl: )........................P

My son Thomas is going to be in the upcoming movie Kinsey with John Lithgow and Liam Neeson..

I just found out that my BIL hangs out with some people that went to school with and hung out with the QB from the Giants that is on the Bachelor he is from Toronto Ontario. Jessie whatever his name is.

I can't even read "Love You Forever" without bawling!:sad1:

I didn't know who Sheila was until she told me she had some decorating books for me. I thought she was going to lend me some. Turns out they are ones she has written and illustrated!!!::yes::
She then told me about Love You Forever, so I went and looked at my copy and sure enough it was her! She is really a nice person and a great neighbor!

My father's best friend is James Patterson, the writer. Very nice guy.

I went to school with the Teutels from American Chopper (Paul Jr.'s and Mikey's brother, Dan, graduated with me).

I also went to school with Matt Morris, the pitcher for the St. Louis Cardinals. I haven't talked to him for a while, though. He's married and lives in Florida in the offseason.

WOW! That is great! Will he have a big part? I'm sooooooo jealous you get to meet Liam Neeson!

I went to high school with Benny Perrin who was a SS for the St. Louis Cardinals until he blew out his knee. He now owns a semi-famous bbq restaurant in our home town.

I also went to high school with Mark Sellers, who was a Solid Gold dancer (anyone remember that? LOL) and he was in the video Thriller with Michael Jackson.

I don't know what became of him.

I've met a lot of famous people, mostly singers and actors, but none that I could say are close personal friends. Most I met when I lived in Aspen, CO... or when I was performing regularly. These days I'm just with my kids 24/7. ;)

But Erika, didn't you get to meet a lot of semi famous people on your trip to WDW? I would love to meet some Travel Channel people - especially Samantha Brown.
