Tis me, because I am constantly on the internet and looking up the bargains. The plan is made between us, but I am the lead name on everything: flights, accommodation, car, tickets, insurance, etc, etc. The money is usually in my name as well.:rotfl2:

No Way my wife would just pay first price she sees, like she does in Marks and Spencers, She pays ticket price for everything, where I wont buy a thing without a discount and weeks of searching for best price.

My hubby is the same as you Wayne. He will search tons of websites for the best price until he is happy he cannot get it any cheaper! Bless him.

We are fortunate he has a very good job and does work very hard though and basically does not like getting ripped off.
Tbh we do that with anything we buy be it a new car, washing machine, tv etc.

Would'nt dream of just booking a package holiday now, Dh would kill me!:scared1:

We both do the planning, but I ring for adrs, book park tickets and any tours etc.
Hubby books flights, accommodation, car hire, insurance, Hotel and car parking for night before.

You should see me when it comes to buying a car:lmao:
I went around every BMW garage in a 30 mile radius to get the best deal. Got the What car target price which was £20,500 last March list price £22,500. I did not give in until I got it under £20,000, Ended up at £19,900. One garage told me I did not have a chance of getting it under £21,000.
Just bought new van last month list price £12,500. I paid £8,500. I overheard someone else signing up at £10,000.
People pay way too much for things. DW dreads going shopping with me. I will leave things at the till if they don't give me a discount.

My husband is the same! He has got VERY good discounts on cars and a little bit on electricals. I am normally the shy looking wife squirming with embarrassment by his side.

You only went to every BMW dealer within 30 miles??? Husband got his car from a dealer 120 miles away and mine came from a dealer 200 miles away (got free delivery on both)...

Basically if you don't ask, you don't get do you! Good on you:thumbsup2

That's funny about leaving things at a till!:rotfl:
I've not been in that situation yet!!

Were you and my hubby separated at birth? It sure sounds like it!!:rotfl2:

When hubby bought my Megane for me, he would not go straight to Renault and buy it, oh no no, instead shopped around and got it for me for just under £11'000 brand new. The same car at Renault brand new would have cost us £16'000!:scared1:

In all seriousness, I totally agree with you about people paying too much for things.

It's definately me, I need to research everything, I may go OTT but it makes me feel much better knowing everything I can in advance. My DF doesn't mind me doing this because he thinks it's too much of a hassle to do what I do. I actually love doing all the organising and I like to plan a few surprises along the way.

Gavin 'cos he sorts out any travel related issue's if they crop up, he's calmer than I am so better at dealing with companies over thephone when your tickets aren't here yet!
