Well, I made it to the middle of February, but now I am done. I am tired of the snow...even though it’s beautiful. Tired of the gray days and the cold and nothing really going on. So tired of it that dh and I have decided to take a road trip to Florida. Yes...I am traveling....with my sanitizer and our masks, etc..

We were going to fly, but we love a road trip and just got a new car and have plenty of vacation time. Adult kids are all busy with school and work, so we are hitting the road by ourselves at the end of next week. Looking forward to some sunshine and warmer weather.

Anyone else done with Winter?

I am.
Live in WNY and shoveling 4 driveways with 12 inches of snow on each the other day was brutal even with 3 people doing it.
Luckily the round that came through last night and what will come through tonight into tomorrow should be not much.
In another month when its officially spring the snow tends to melt fairly easily so only one more month of shoveling lol.
I'm hoping for very manageable amounts from n ow on though.

🙋‍♀️ So done. We had to breakaway 2 ice dams. Broke away the ice skating ring on the front porch steps. Shoveled so much snow that will last in our yard for a month because we're north facing. My car this morning was a frozen popsicle. Looks like after today we'll be drying out thank goodness.

We had a pretty "easy" January so I'll give Winter maybe 3 more weeks. 18 BELOW was a bit much tho the other morning so I would like the temps at least to go back to the average for this time of year. :cold:

Me! I live in the Dallas area and we got what feels like the entire winter in 5 days. We have been more lucky than most but are waiting on pins and needles for everything to thaw tomorrow to see how much damage we have to our house and pool.

Relatively mild winter again. Feels like winter just started and it's almost over already.

I remember having cold and snow from November through March and didn't see the grass the entire time. Now we get cold and snow in February and sometimes March. I think we've had 3 moderate snowfalls including the past week or so of winter weather.

Me! Upstate NY here and it’s always around this time of year when I wonder why the heck I continue to live here. Blah. Top the winter blues with covid blues and it’s been over the top this year.

We love winter. Snowshoeing, cross country skiing, and so much more. I love downhill skiing but the COVID19 restrictions have made that a bit more difficult this winter.

I'm always over winter. I live in CT but my heart is in Florida! I hate the cold and I hate the snow.

We usually spend 2 weeks every February driving to Florida and back, but now that my son is in "regular" school, we can't do that anymore (and of course, COVID this year). It was nice to have that little break in the middle of winter. I can't wait for some sunshine and warmth! I've been "walking" to park tours on YouTube in the house and it's just not the same as taking a walk around the block outside! I want OUT.

I am over it...more snow in the last 2 weeks than we had all of last winter here in Western MD. I shouldn't complain, when there are so many in Texas suffering so much though. But cheer up people, Spring arrives on March 20,, which is only 29 days away!

I love that part of it too. But this year I have had enough of it. Want warm sunshine and tank tops and flip flops.😁

When we moved to Colorado from Arizona, 12 years ago, a requirement I made with my DH is that every Jan-Mar, at some point, I would visit my parents in FL for 2 weeks to get away from the cold. Typically, the two weeks following the Super Bowl. In other words... Now. Obviously, that didn't happen this year. This winter has validated my original insistence on the requirement. My Dad's been telling me about the 85 degrees. Meanwhile, we had a week of sub-freezing, and sometimes sub-zero temps.

We’re in WNY and almost always go somewhere warm for a couple weeks to break up the winter. This year we went to Arizona. Had to have a Covid test to return to NY then quarantine and get tested again but it was worth it.
